Brayden
"Hey, great party last night, dude!" I over hear everyone crowding around Michael, not paying any mind to it I continue on to my first period. Still avoiding Sammy, I'm lucky I only have one class with her.
You idiot, that's all you've been able to think about. It's not like we haven't done anything like that before, but it's been months since we've even spoken to each other. Kind of weird how life works, isn't it?
"Tell me you guys had just as an amazing night as I did." Andrew comes up to join the rest of our group. He's a good friend, but honestly no one really knows why he's popular. To be honest he isn't that cool. Other than the fact he plays baseball, there's not really much to him.
"Mine was more on the weird side." Cameron speaks up, and I look over at him nodding in agreement.
"Same here." I added in.
"What happened?" Maryah questions, clinging to Cameron's side. I'm not going to lie, Maryah was fit as hell, but she was more of a booty call kind of girl than anything. He'd never admit to it, but that's the main reason Cameron's with her.
"I'd rather not talk about it," I bite my lip, trying to steer the conversation away from me.
"Fair enough, what about you, babe?" Eyeing Cameron, you could see the anger in her eyes. As if she already knew something went down.
"Nothing really, it was just a weird night. Saw a lot of stuff, you know. Being the bartender and all." He laughed, nervously scratching at the back of his neck. You're lying through your teeth, Cam. I don't know if I was the only one to see it, but he had that look on his face.
"I don't what happened to you guys, but I'm with Andrew. I had a bomb night." Carter spoke up, winking over at Alyssa.
Playfully smacking his arm, she pulled out her phone. "Guys, we might want to get to class. We have like three minutes until the first bell."
"Shit, yeah." Gathering my things, Carter and I walked in silence to first.

Carter
I lied, Alyssa and I didn't do anything like that last night. We never do. Hell, she's suppose to be my girlfriend. Least, that's what everyone thinks. In reality, she's just a good friend doing me a favor. Yeah, she's pretty and all. I just don't roll that way.
But, last night I saw him. I watched him have fun with his friends, dance to his favorite songs when I ached to be the one standing along beside him.
I honestly don't know if I was ready to take that big step yet. To come out. What would people think of me? I'm suppose to be the star track runner, a ladies man. I'm not even prepared to tell my closest friends. Only Alyssa, me, and Aaron's group of friends know. They only know because of what I had with Aaron.
"You alright there, bro?" Brayden looks at me with concern written over his face.
"Yeah, I'm good. Must have zoned out." I shrug, finally being drug out of my thoughts. I can't let this affect me. Not now, not when I have a huge meet coming up tonight.
"Thinking about tonight?" Brayden's always been a good friend. Though, he isn't fond of gays. Not a homophobe, he just gets uncomfortable around them. What would he do when he found out?
"Yeah, if we get high enough ranks we can go to that tournament." I sighed, it's a lot of pressure on me.
"You'll be fine." Patting me on the back, he turned his attention back to the paper.

Third period is my least favorite of the day. Not only do I hate science, but Brayden's in there. Along with his partner in crime, Carter. After last night, I definitely have come to hate this class even more. One thing I'm thankful for though, is that I also have my partner in crime along my side; Aaron. I don't think I could handle this class if he wasn't in here.
"As you all know, midterms are coming up. Which means, science project." As soon as the words flow out of Mr. Jones mouth, there's a class wide groan. This happens every nine weeks when we have midterms and report cards coming. He always gives us a summative grade that will 'make or break us.' "Now, stop it with all of that. I've decided to go easy on you all this time. The project is to make a board with an experiment. As if you were to enter the science fair. Also, this is a partner project, but before you get any ideas, I have already selected them for you." Cue class groan part two. "When you hear your name's being called, stand up and go find your new partner for the next three weeks." Smiling sarcastically, Jones picks up a sheet of notebook paper and begins going through the list.
Please pair me up with Aaron. Silently I wait for our names to be called, fingers crossed we're paired.
"Cameron, Aaron." So much for that- OH MY GOD. My eyes widen as I look over at Aaron, who's just as shocked as I am. Slowly he gathers his things, and makes his way to Cameron's table. Looking back at me for help, I shake my head knowing I have no power in this one.
One by one, people are called. Narrowing the options down to about six of us left. Looking around, I consider my odds. Brayden, Carter, some guy in my math class, and a few other random faces are left among the six of us. Oh, no. Please don't-
"Brayden, Samantha." Why am I not surprised, the odds are never in my favor.
My eyes lock with Brayden's, and I make a face. As if telling him 'I'm not moving, get up.' with my eyes. Gathering his things, I shoot a glance at Aaron. Shoot me, I mouth.
Soon the open spot next to me is filled with the last person I'd want there. Pinching the bridge of my nose in frustration, I decide I should lay out some ground rules.
"Okay, I don't want this just as much as you do, so let's keep this to as little time spent together as possible. Okay? Okay. When are you free? I know you have practice for basketball." I pulled out a sheet of paper to write down the dates and times we would be meeting to get this done. If I don't write them down, most likely I would forget.
"Okay. I'm free Tuesday's, Wednesday's, and Thursday's. So anytime on those days we can get together. Mine or yours?" Leaning back in his chair, his facial expression is blank.
"Yours, I don't need my parents thinking we're back or something. Oh, and I'm hoping you still have my number because I uh- I deleted yours." Halfheartedly laughing at the last part, Brayden nodded.
"Ouch, but yeah I do. I'll text you later when you should head over to mine, yeah?" Lips pressed into a line, I nodded picking up my stuff and walking out, waiting for Aaron in the hall.
"Literally, no. This is such a bad idea." Aaron laughed, heading down to the lunchroom.
"Tell me about it." I sighed.

A/N: 1215 Words in total, holy crap. Drama to come in Chapter 5, so be on the look out. This is was sort of a filler chapter, but it needed to be added for the drama to happen next. Hopefully you guys are enjoying this story as much as I'm enjoying writing it w/ Aaron. Anyways, Chapter 5 will be up soon more than likely because Aaron is impatient as crap with this story tryna see what's gonna happen.
