How much should one person pack for a summer camp? I don't think I've packed enough. My bag of tools and a change of clothes should be enough for a couple days , Annabeth shouldn't expect me to stay for too long anyway.

"I'm out shopping" I yelled to Devon opening the shop door and hunting down the nearest taxi which seemed to be right infront of the shop.

"Where to?" The driver asked me turning his head , his dreads swinging round to frame his face.

"Anywhere in Long Island , it isn't far from here right?" I asked , turning to look out the window where Devon was already chasing down the vehicle.

"Not at all" the driver replied in his thick Jamaican accent , putting his foot down and practically speeding through New York "So what takes you to Long Island? Ready for the beachy weather" he joked nodding at the thick clouds forming in the sky.

"Yeah , I do love a good swim" I said pursing my lips and feeling slightly carsick but also feeling reassured seeing the view rapidly changing infront of me.

"We're almost there , please don't throw up in my car" he cringed turning the wheel and pulling up by a gate to a forest.

"Thanks. How much do I owe you?" I asked pulling out my purse

"Nothing. For you, its free" he smiled unlocking the car doors

"This is New York. Nothing is free" I argued handing him some money

"Really, it is free." he said handing the money back to me " You might want to get to the camp before them though" he nodded in the direction of a boy and what looked like a golden mechanical bull.

"Shit. Thankyou for the ride!" I praised hopping out the car and running towards the gates to the forest.

When I thought about it , seeing a golden bull was really odd. Why would it be headed to a summer camp of all places?

The bull itself didn't actually give me a lot of time to think about it as it had caught up with me rather quickly.

"Good luck running from that" a boy around my age said standing next to a tree with a vial of a blue substance

"Thanks for the helpful advice"
Rolling my eyes , I continued my way to the gates of camp halfblood. The bull had other ideas and had decided to dig it's horns into the ground either side of me and send me flying , landing ungracefully on its back as it charged at some sort of barrier.

"A word of warning , I can tell you're new" the boy said calmly watching me get thrown around by the bull "This 'summer camp' you're headed to is full of lies" was what he said before the bull shattered the barrier and went charging into the camp.

Gripping onto its horns as tightly as possible , I rode into the place. People were screaming so I suppose gold bulls don't happen often here.

"Is that Eryn?" I heard Annabeth say as she stood with a group of people.

"Nah it can't be" Grover replied watching the bull and myself get closer.

At this point the bull had decided it'd had enough of me on its back and began jumping backwards and forwards to shake me off. Which wasn't working until I lost my grip on its horns and went flying into some tall guy with sunglasses.

"Oh wait" Grover squinted then corrected himself "that is her" he moved coming over to help me up.

"I am so sorry" I apologised ignoring Grover and helping the guy that I just landed on.

"It's okay, I'm Tyson." he smiled his hand outstretched.

"Nice to meet you Tyson" I smiled back taking his hand and shaking it.

"This is cute guys , really. But we have a fire-breathing bull in the camp" Percy stressed running towards the golden animal with Tyson.

"It does not breath fi-"

"Watch out!" Annabeth yelled tackling me to the ground as a long jet of fire escaped the animal's mouth

"Okay , maybe it does breath fire now" I complained. What a stupid machine.

"Percy! Distract it for me!" Annabeth shouted , before lunging and failing to stab the bull with the spear.

I noticed Percy leading the bull to a large building , so I followed with my bag taking out a dagger. The bull seemed distracted with Percy when I got there , so I took this opportunity to go for open spot in its side - wedging the dagger in between its armour and sliding underneath it. The golden animal began to malfunction but not enough to stop its movement completely.

The bull switched it focus - now I was its target.

"Take this!" Percy yelled throwing me a pen.
A pen?
"Click it and throw it" he explained clutching his side in pain.

Click and throw. I repeated throwing the small object into the bulls mouth watching as it turned into a full length sword. Crazy. This sent the animal over the edge , gears were flying , the machine itself began steaming.

"We need to go" I said to Percy "Now" I urged helping him up and running to the other side of the brick wall , that was surrounding the building , barely making it before we heard an explosion. That would be the bull.

I stood up just to check it was gone and in replacement of it was the guy from earlier.

"You know for not knowing who you are , i've got to admit you did a good job" he praised "But. Do you have any idea how hard Colchis bulls are to come by?"

"You sent that thing here?"

"Eryn , who are you talking to?" Percy asked from the floor. I gestured for him to stand up and see for himself.

"How rude of me not to introduce myself." he spoke walking over to us "I'm Luke" he smirked taking my hand and shaking it.

"Luke?"

"Maybe next time you try to drown someone, make sure he's not a demigod who can swim" Luke shrugged looking towards Percy.

"Wait what?" I interrupted , being completely ignored.

"Turns out, you're not the only half-blood who's hard to kill." he smirked displaying the blue vial he had earlier "You know, prophecy"

"What prophecy?" Percy asked angrily "What are you talking about?"

"You don't know?" he said surprised "Huh" he shrugged turning to me before looking back at Percy "Add that to the long list of things your buddy Chiron hasn't shared with you. Chiron , Mr D , all the rest... they don't care about us. To them , we're just kids. A bunch of pawns meant to be pushed around , told what to do. I'm not the only half-blood who thinks so." he finished clicking a circular green thing and disappearing in a mist of smoke.

Disappearing?

"We need to let the others know" Percy ordered as he starting walking back towards the main camp.

"So the fact he just disappeared is completely normal to you?!" I exclaimed

"Look , I'm not sure why Annabeth brought you here. Stuff like this happens all the time. We thought .... we thought you had seen stuff like this before" Percy explained.

"Stuff like what?" I asked furrowing my eyebrows as I stopped walking completely.

"Monsters. I mean you own daggers , care to explain that." he groaned pointing at my bag.

"You're insane. All of you are" I sighed before continuing "I've dealt with bad customers. Customers that were humans not monsters." I replied folding my arms and continuing to walk beside him.

"You can deny it all you want. But it's true. You're in Camp, only half-bloods can get in here" he winced grabbing his side once again

"I got in with a bull Percy. He broke whatever barrier you had. Me being in here doesn't prove anything" I explained before sighing again "Please sit down"

"No"

"Percy, you are clearly hurt" I scolded tilting my head to give him a serious look.

"Fine, do you have any water?"
