I got reminded of the original tale of Beauty and the Beast(Which also got me to re-read it), which ended up making me think of a modern scenario partially based on the story, but also based in our Monster AUs.
The song used in the header also gave some partial inspiration, so take that how you want-

Ship:

Kiku x *Character/OC of Choice*

Scenario:

~Love me, love me not~

Innocence and purity, it was considered rare in these times. Girls often wanted to grow up too quickly, leading to innocent girls losing that innocence far too young. Innocence was bliss though, and many just didn't really understand that.

Who did understand this, though?

Monsters. Beasts. Ones who, in particular, had an attraction to humans. The creatures that most wouldn't face, either afraid or disgusted. These monsters, men and women monsters alike, understood the importance of preserving one's innocence.
Often, it was those who were still innocent, that could open their heart to these grisly beasts, that could love them. Could truly love them without there being a cost.
After all, could a relationship truly be called love, if the basis wasn't on love, but on a monster supplying their lover with gifts and such, all to keep them together? Of course not.

But, most monsters, were unlucky or settled for a relationship akin to a sugar baby and sugar mommy/daddy.

One man ran a club, one made for monsters in particular. It was meant to give monsters a place where they could be themselves without the fear of humans discovering them and causing them harm. The club was an underground club, and humans weren't allowed.
He hated most humans, but at the same time, he longed to be with one. Something about the thought of having a human fall in love with him made his heart flutter.
The thought alone felt like this pleasurable little fantasy he never thought would come true.

Despite the restrictions on his club, a human ended up in it.
This wasn't the first time this occurred, it rarely happened a few times prior. And it always ended the same. The humans being killed, primarily to keep the club hidden and protected.
This time though, he couldn't bring himself to kill her. Not when he saw how she got on her knees and pleaded to live, not when he saw her soft pale skin, the rosy flush of her cheeks. Just looking at her, he could tell she was the innocence that so many monsters wanted in a human.

Lifting her chin, he caressed her cheek, his flesh/fur/scales/etc, feeling so rough against her flesh that felt so fragile. If he squeezed just a bit, he'd leave red marks on her fragile complexion.
If she wanted to live as she claimed in her pleads, he'd let her live, but she'd live with him, she'd be his, and she'd never go anywhere unless he told her she could.
Not wanting to die, she agreed.

Everything was just as he wanted. He had his human. He had her in his arms, at his beck and call. But what he hadn't expected, was that he'd be the one falling for her hard.
His heart fluttered when she'd peer up at him with her dark eyes, her lashes fluttering, as she spoke to him, questioning him, her hands fidgeting with her dress fabric. How, for some reason, she'd tell him that she liked him and thought he was nice.
Maybe it was because he always made sure she was well taken care of as if she was his princess.
He was the one who had fallen in love.

At first, he denied his feelings. He'd even get defensive at times.
Eventually, though, he stopped trying to hide it. He melted when he'd feel her weight in his lap, or when she'd kiss his cheek. He hated brushing it off and seeing her frown.

He came to accept his love for her, how he wanted her more than anything. How he'd do anything for her.
And soon enough, he began to ask her, every night, if she'd marry him. It didn't matter if it was at his home if they were at the club, it didn't matter where at all, because he'd ask her.
And she'd always tell him that she wasn't ready to give an answer. And because he loved her, he accepted that.
He didn't have to accept that. She was his, her life was in his hands. But he loved her, and his heart was dedicated to her. He just couldn't force her, she'd never love him, she'd never forgive him. She'd hate him, she'd scream, she'd try to run away.
Losing her would kill him.

One night, they were at the club together, the club that had started all of this.
So many other monsters surrounded them, and it was quite the sight. Why? Because many had entered their heats and rutts. And so, many monsters were paired up, all loving, lustful, and every other romantic thing.

And then there was them.
His arms around her waist, squeezing every so often as if he was checking that she was still there.
Her head against his chest, her eyes watching the lights the shone in the club, occasionally changing when the music switched, glimmering at certain songs.

And then, there was a kiss, hands clutching onto the other, the girl trembling a bit, her eyes fluttering to a close.
It was odd, but to both, it felt as if their bodies were made for the other. Parting felt far too hard.

And he asked her again, this time, asking felt far more natural.
One of his hands trailed into her hair, lightly tugging the long strands, pulling her out of the kiss, a string connecting them as he asked, her dark eyes cloudy and fogged, as she peered up at him.

And for the first time...

"Yes, fuck yes."

I hope you enjoyed reading this scenario! It was surprisingly pleasant to write. <3
