A/N: ^i want this song played at my wedding 😭 also i broke the vows into little paragraphs to make it easier to read.
This was it. One minute until he was going to walk down the aisle and get married to his true love. He was kind of nervous, but he was very ready.
The person he'd chose to walk him down the aisle was none other than his sister. He was on good terms with his mother, but his sister had always been there for him, through thick and thin. He couldn't imagine anyone else, other than his father of course, to walk him down the aisle.
Bea walked up to him, "Henry, you ready? It's time to go."
Henry took a deep breath and nodded, "Yes, let's go."
Bea smiled at him and linked their arms. Then they were walking. He could hear Can't Help Falling In Love playing since that's the song they chose for him walking down the aisle. It made him smile.
He walked until he was finally close enough to see Alex's face and he was embarrassed to say that he started crying right there. God, he couldn't believe this was actually happening to him. He was getting married to the most amazing human on Earth. He could see that Alex was crying as well. They both grinned at each other, knowing exactly how each other felt. He made it to the altar and everybody sat down.
"Welcome, loved ones. We are gathered here today to join Alex Claremont-Diaz and Henry Fox in holy matrimony," the priest started, "Alex and Henry have written their own vows for them to share today. Alex, you may begin."
"Henry. From the moment our worlds collided, I knew my life was forever altered. In your eyes, I found a home, a sanctuary where my soul finds solace and strength. You, with your grace, wit, and the depth of your compassion, have reshaped the very fabric of my being.
In your presence, I've discovered a love that transcends boundaries, defies expectations, and stands unyielding against any storm. With each smile you offer, with every laugh we share, I find a universe of joy that I never knew existed.
You've taught me the true meaning of bravery — not the kind that faces battles or adversaries, but the courage to bare my heart, to love fiercely and unapologetically. You've shown me that vulnerability is not weakness but the purest form of strength.
I promise to cherish every moment, to stand by your side through the peaks and valleys of life's journey. I vow to support you, to lift you up when the weight of the world presses down, and to celebrate your victories as if they were my own. I pledge to listen with an open heart, to be your confidant and your refuge, to honor and respect you in all the ways you deserve. With each passing day, I promise to choose us, to nurture our bond, and to grow alongside you.
Henry Fox, you are my compass, my partner, and my love. Today and for all the days to come, I take you as my husband, my equal, and my soulmate. With every beat of my heart, I will love you, fiercely and without reservation, for all eternity." Alex recited, tearing up.
Henry was on the verge of full on sobbing. It was beautiful and now he feels like his vows won't be as good as Alex's.
They weren't the only ones crying, Henry could see many faces in the crowd also covered in tears.
Finally managing to compose himself, Henry recited his vows, "Alex, my love. You, with your unwavering passion, your relentless courage, and the boundless love you offer, have not only captured my heart but become its very essence. Your fire ignites my spirit, illuminating a path of purpose and love I never thought possible. You've taught me the true depth of acceptance—the kind that sees flaws as beauty, scars as stories of resilience, and imperfections as the tapestry that makes us beautifully human.
I vow to stand by your side, to lift you up in moments of doubt, and to cherish every instance of joy as if it were a precious gem. I promise to be your sanctuary, a safe harbor in life's storms, and your unwavering support through every triumph and tribulation. I pledge to listen with an open heart, to honor your dreams as my own, and to respect and cherish you in every form, in every way you evolve.
Today, I take you as my husband, my partner in all things. I vow to love you fiercely, passionately, and with unending devotion. With each breath I take, I will choose you, I will stand beside you, and I will love you, today, tomorrow, and for all the days of our lives."
Both of them were crying happy tears. It took all of Henry's willpower not to kiss Alex right then and there.
"Alex, do you take Henry Fox to be your lawfully-wedded husband?" the priest asked, looking a little emotional himself.
"I do." Alex responded with a smile.
"Henry, do you take Alex Claremont-Diaz to be your lawfully-wedded husband?"
"I do." Henry said with a grin.
"Then by the power vested in me, I pronounce you husband and husband. Alex, you may now kiss the groom." The priest exclaimed.
Alex grabbed Henry's face and kissed him passionately, full of love and promise.
~time skip~
Henry and Alex decided to wait to have their first dance until after everyone's eaten their dinner. Their logic was that they had already made them sit through a whole ceremony so they didn't want to bore their guests.
They were having dinner now, and Henry and Alex's table was big enough to fit June, Nora, Pez, Bea, Ethan, Ellen, Oscar, Catherine, Zahra, and Shaan at the same table. The rest of the tables were filled with other family, family friends, and work friends. As they kept their wedding planning process up, they kept managing to find more and more people to invite.
Sometime in the middle of dinner, Liam and Spencer had come up to them and congratulated them on the wedding.
"Congrats man! I would have never imagined you would be doing something like this when we were in high school. I'm glad you figured out who you are and found someone who loves you just as much as you love them," Liam said.
"Thanks Liam! And thank you so much for coming, it means a lot," Alex replied.
They went back to their dinner, chatting with everyone at the table and occasionally interrogating Ethan because it was so fun to play the protective older brothers and scare him. Though, Henry really liked him, he's been treating Bea well so far. Alex is a little more wary on trusting him, at least on the outside, but Henry can tell that Alex also likes him.
Everyone was just finishing up their dinner when the DJ stopped the music and started speaking, "Okay everyone! I hope y'all enjoyed the music and your dinner, but now it is time to welcome our newlyweds to the dance floor to have their first dance!"
Everybody cheered and clapped as Alex and Henry made their way to the center of the dancefloor with their hands entwined.
"Your Song" started playing and they started dancing, grinning at each other like fools and kissing softly too many times to count. They were finally married. Henry had finally married the love of his life. He couldn't believe that this day was real.
They swayed to the music and danced around the whole dance floor. Henry knew that everyone was watching them but he couldn't care less. It was like they were in their own little bubble, and no one could burst it.
"I love you so, so much," Henry whispered to Alex.
Alex grinned, "I love you more."
"I think that's up for debate," Henry said.
"Really? Wanna bet?" Alex laughed. Henry just laughed along with him, and they danced and danced until the song was over.
