chapter thirty. i love you

It was officially Violet's last day and of course she was going to bunk all her classes with Dane and Beatrix. They were going to invite Riven but he was nowhere to be found. They decided to spend the day at the waterfall, for some peace and to get used to being around water. "Can she ever be happy?" Dane asked loudly over the sound of the water, "A woman doesn't have to smile to be happy." Beatrix said back, they had barely been there for ten minutes and somehow Beatrix and Dane were about to be at one another's throats again. Violet hoped they would learn to get along better when they left.

"Would it kill though? I'm just asking." Dane said and Violet splashed them both with water, laughing at their faces. Dane splashes her back and it's not long until they're both soaking wet, Beatrix having got the worst of it somehow. "I'm getting a sandwich." Dane ran back to where they left their lunch while Beatrix stood in front of her, glaring at her. Violet placed her hand on the side of the girl's waist, lowering it down to the girl's waist as she sways her back and forth.

"I don't practically like swimming." Beatrix admits and Violet tugs her closer, "You were the one who wanted to come here."

"You love swimming." Beatrix kisses Violet, her lips soft as she pulls away Violet jumps into the water and Beatrix laughs, following in after her. Violet loved the sound of Beatrix laugh, that's why she always had something stupid to say because she might, just might, make Beatrix smile at least. "I love your laugh!" Violet yells over the noise that seems to surround them. Beatrix's laugh didn't end, "You're making me like water." she leaned over to say over the sound of the waterfall. "Because I love you." she placed a hand on Violet's cheek, she didn't like water but she loved Violet which is how she knew she could make anything work as long as they were side by side.

"I want to leave sooner than later, I want our new lives to start today." Beatrix didn't hesitate to kiss her, Violet smiling into the kiss. "I think I'd like that very much." not even an hour later they were on a plane, Violet tried to talk to Riven but it was no use. Beatrix comforted her as best as she could but for something you just need your best friend. When they got there it immediately felt like home, her dad got them an off campus apartment.He wanted to get two rooms, one for the girls and one of Dane but Violet wanted three, just in case Riven changed his mind and maybe one day he would but until then she would spend every day with the love of her life, there are alot of grass skirts, midnight swims, late night kissing and they try to watch the sunset or sunrise at least once a week and not a day goes by where either of them don't feel loved or where they're even bored, and one day, he does show up, everyone finally finds one another again.
