Chapter 9. A Runaway Girl Named Penny

I would get my revenge. They would regret the day they killed Tony. I grabbed one of the guns and hastily loaded it as best as I could. I looked around for something else, when I spotted a guards uniform. The uniform was to big for me, but the mask fit fine. It closely resembled a ninja mask and was exciting to put on. They would never guess it was me. I would kill them all. Everyone would met their doom today. My rage flowed through my veins. I open the door, gun at my side, and prepared to meet my victims.

To my surprise nobody was in the halls. I looked everywhere for someone to kill, but they seemed to have disappeared. I found where I had saw the Koliys had been. They must have left, I told myself. At least the Koliys left, minus one Mary and one Brittany. I saw Drake and Aliandra speaking. “She spoke! I swear it!”, I heard Drake exclaim. Aliandra looked at him with surprise, “What did she say?” She didn’t let him answer. “Where is she?” This time it seemed she needed an answer. “I.. I don’t.. Ummm…. I don’t know.” Aliandra looked at him furious. “You don’t know!”I carefully aimed at her and fired.

My poor aim missed her by a long shot. They turned to me. “Guards!”, yelled Aliandra. They marched from the other side. I shot one and he crumpled to the floor. It was true, they do turn to ashes because all that I saw left was his clothes. I missed again, but still managed to dodge them as they attacked. Aliandra fled the scene. “Get her!”, was the last thing she said before rushing out. I shot another, as he tried to grab my arm. I was tripped from behind and tried to shoot my attacker. I missed by centimeters. I shot again. It hit someone behind him.

He slapped the gun away from me and held me down. I was no match to his incredible strength. I didn’t even bother to struggle. Drake looked at me with amazed eyes. “He’s human and quite a good fighter.” he nodded at the guy who held me down. “I think we could use someone like you.” He didn’t recognize me? “Bite her!”, he commanded the guy. My struggle was useless. He chomped down on my tender neck and the piercing pain began. I tried to reach for my neck. My insides were burning.

“Help. Help me.”, my pleas were ignored. “Who is it?” Drake ripped off my mask. He gasped. “You.”, Drake was stunned. I knew what he was thinking. Now how would Aliandra get her baby? He had let a vampire bite me and he couldn’t turn back now. My attacker jumped off of me and ripped off his own mask. Behind the mask, I laid eyes on Tony. I wanted to hug him, but the pain ruptured my heart and I blacked out.
