Sitting across from me was my father and mother. I had just told them about my situation with Chris. I hadn't told them in the past years and my father was absolutely furious about the fact that he had treated me like that for years and he had never noticed. My mother looked irritated. She hadn't said a word yet.

"Don't worry princess. We're gonna make sure you'll never see that man ever again."

"Well I don't agree on that Frank."

"Odette he's hurting our daughter!"

"He's good for our family reputation. Who knows what kind of skunk she'll bring home otherwise! Some drug addict or something?!"

"Odette! You know better than our daughter picking up a skunk for a boyfriend. She has as much class as us. Have you never heard her speak? Hear her at work burning people to the ground in court with one simple fact?"

"Frank he's good for the business and reputation. We need him in our family line. In fact I have been talking with him for when he will propose. It's been almost 6 years since they started dating. It's about time they get married and start getting children. She needs to stop that job and-"

"Odette... dear. You know I love you dearly but in this specific moment I would divorce you."

"Dad!"

"See Adelaide-Isadora! This is all your fault! If you could behave and do as expected we wouldn't be in this situation!"

"That's it! Odette we're getting a divorce! That's the final drupelet! We've been fighting for years but accusing our daughter for your behavior is not okay! We're getting a divorce!"

From there on everything exploded. They both started screaming. My mother started screaming at me and my father and my father just screamed at my mother. I started to panic. My breath becoming short and unsteady. I looked around and the walls kept closing in on me. I got warm and I abruptly stood up. I knew this house on the back of my hand and I navigated myself outside. I sat down outside on the ground thank god for the black pantalon I was wearing with my white button up and black blazer. It was cold outside and I focused on the soft clouds that came out of my mouth. My warm breath was forming those clouds. My warm breath was so hot in the cold they became soft clouds that disappeared within seconds. I started to calm down again and after a while I stood up. I walked back to the house only now noticing how cold it really was outside. I walked in again and went back to the room where we sat before. My parents both looked at me. My mother her eyes were filled with hatred while my father his eyes were filled with concern.

"Are you alright princess?"

"Yeah... just needed a break."

"That's okay."

"No it's not okay. She can't just run from her problems."

"Odette don't you have to polish the cutlery or something? I will handle this conversation with my daughter."

"Excuse me! She's my daughter as well! I have a right to be here!"

"Actually mother... I would like to have this conversation... just dad and me."

She huffed and stormed out of the room. My father and I staid silent as we looked at each other. He sighed and shook his head softly.
