Me and Jake were sitting on the floor. I was reading and he was drawing.

Lexy : Devon!

I was so focussed on my book I hardly noticed that she barged in.

Devon : Yeah?

Lexy : I've come to rescue you!

Jake : From what? Me?

Lexy : Did you hear that? White noise.

Devon : Lexy, you can chill, we're friends.

Jake : friends?

He whispered.

Lexy : Okay, GOOD! Hating him was so hard!

Jake : I'm too likeable.

Lexy : I know!

They laughed.

Jake and Lexy just CLICK you know?

She sat down on Jakes bed.

Lexy : To be honest, I'm the one that needs rescuing.

Devon : From?

Lexy : Nadine! I have tried to switch rooms but they only let people who are problematic. Like you two.

I looked up from my book to the boy, who clearly had something on his mind.

Oliver : Hey guys have you seen- Hanging out without me?!

Lexy : No, I just needed a break.

Oliver : Okay well... wanna go to the park?

Lexy : Sure? You two coming.

Jake : No we need to talk.

Devon : Uh oh.

They left and shut the door.

Devon : What did you wanna talk about?

Jake : So we're being completely honest with each other?

Devon : yeah?..

Jake : Okay, then tell me what happened with you guys and Nadine.

Devon : No, No!

Jake : What has you all so scared?!

Devon : Lexy would kill me!

Jake : Just tell me! Or we can't be... friends.

I sighed.

Devon : A few weeks ago... do you know Jenny?

Jake : No?

Devon : Exactly. Right well Lexy made this rumour up about her saying that she... got pregnant... and it was a teachers.

Jake : Fuck. So how are you involved?

Devon : Me and Oliver spread it and then... it turned out that she was actually pregnant. When we were asked who started the rumour in the first place, we all SWORE that it was Nadine, because her and Jenny were friends but also because... Nadine had threatened to tell the headmaster that we had cheated off of her on tests so we knew it would ruin her credibility.

Jake : Oh my god... but how did Lexy know?

Devon : That's the thing, she has NO idea. Next thing you know Jenny was expelled and Nadine was... heavily punished.

Jake : Holy fucking shit. I thought I was bad with the bullying and vandalism but that...

Devon : But Jake, no one can know that you know! Especially not Lexy!
