I wake up in my bed, a killer hang over from last night began attacking my brain and eyes instantly.

As if it were on queue, Lexy burst in.

Lexy : Morning Dev, you gonna come get breakfast?

Devon : Maybe.

Jake : I will in a-

Lexy : Was I asking you?

What the fuck. Did they get into an argument last night?

Devon : I'm gonna have a shower, I'll be down soon.

Lexy : Kk.

She left and shut the door.

Me and Jake looked at each other, partially in confusion but mainly in disgust.

He had a sense of... sadness in his glare. I can't say I don't feel bad but if he is gonna treat people like that, expect it back.

I gotta talk to him. I can't spend the rest of these 3 months hating him. I'm sure we could sustain a friendship until one of us leaves.

Devon : Jake?

His eyes lit up and he turned to me.

Jake : Yeah?

His eyes beamed with hope.

Devon : I wanted to... apologise for last night. You needed someone to be there for you and I was the opposite. Despite everything, you didn't deserve that..

He looked at me skeptically.

Jake : You're still drunk.

Devon : Probably, but aren't you the one who constantly reminds me "drunk words are sober thoughts"?

Jake : Well I'm sorry too. You trusted me and I intentionally hurt you.

I pulled him into a hug.

Jake : Is this to make up for the tragic hug you gave me last night?

Devon : Yeah, it is.

Jake : For the record, I still don't like you.

Devon : Then why are you in my arms?

Jake : Cause they're comfy.

I just got changed after showering and I left Jake to go to the hall.

Devon : Yo guys.

Lexy : Devon!

She seemed... happy. Hung over Lexy is usually a bitch of wildest proportions.

Devon : Did you and Jake argue or?

Lexy : No, we just don't like him.

Devon : What? Why?

Oliver : Dude, did you not hear what he said?

Devon : Guys, you don't have to hate him just because he said something to me.

Lexy : Well we do. Until he apologises we aren't speaking to him.

Devon : He already apologised.

Lexy : Well... I don't know I'm still not over it yet.

I'm grateful that they are so protective but I also feel kinda bad for what happened afterwards. I'm guessing they don't know.

Lexy : Speak of the Devil.

I turned around and saw Jake entering the hall.

He looked at Lexy but she rolled her eyes and looked away.
