The past two weeks have gone by excruciatingly slow. Jake has been trying his absolute best to only interact with Johnnie if they had to film a video. Viewers have noticed this sudden tension between the two and the fact that Jake isn't his bubbly self like he usually is. Sometimes Jake just has to scrap videos all together because him and Johnnie barely talk and it's just depressing to watch.

Jake's created a new schedule, one that definitely has him more on edge than usual. He wakes up whenever and just rots it bed all day. Sometimes he gets up to film or to edit a video, nothing special. He barely ate and only drank water when his mouth became dry.

Johnnie was noticing Jake's behavior and it pained him to watch his best friend spiral into a depressive state, he wishes he could help but Jake won't even look at him when they're off camera. Johnnie wonders if it's because of him, maybe he really is an asshole. Jesus he's got to stop throwing his emotional issues on other people.

The shorter man walks up to Jake's door, he typically collects Jake's laundry and cleans it for him since he isn't known for being clean. Johnnie knocks softly on the door, clearing his throat, "Jake I need your laundry dude."

No response.

Johnnie shrugs and opens the door, being met with Jake still asleep. He let out little snores thanks to his habit of smoking cigarettes. Johnnie smiles a bit before grabbing Jake's clothes strewn around his work space. Jake looked so peaceful while sleeping, almost as if it was an escape to reality.

Johnnie finishes getting his clothes and decides to tidy up his room, there were wrappers everywhere paired with empty water bottles. The sight brought Johnnie back to when he was almost just like this. He would sleep in and eat very little. He'd leave messes everywhere. Thanks to the horrible person named Bryan, he really fucked his life over.

The more The emo thinks about it, the more he realizes how much Jake has pretty much saved him. Right before he met him he was extremely close to killing himself. He moved in with Jake and it's like something changed. The air around him never seemed stiff and he was always surrounded by genuinely nice people. Way back in his My Digital Escape era he was always surrounded by people who thought the same as him and had almost the exact same style as him, it undeniably got boring overtime. But Jake introduced Johnnie to his outrageously big creator friend group, the Camboys along with even more friend groups he was in due to the creator circle being so big, it's almost like a tree.

Johnnie got to interact with people who had clashing personalities so much more, and that variety added more happiness to his life. Sure he still talks to some of his old My Digital Escape friends, but they'll never reach the level of boldness and care that Jake's friends bring into Johnnie's life.

Johnnie straightens up the tiny Knick knacks on Jake's table soccer desk, looking over to the man sleeping right by him. It's not only his friends that make him the happiest person in the world, it's Jake. The taller man has always been there for Johnnie. God knows how many times he's treated Johnnie's hang overs or held his hair back while he threw up. Or even that one time when Jake held Johnnie while he opened up about wanting to hurt himself again. Jake really was the light of the party, no matter what.

This train of thought just brings Johnnie back to how awful he's been towards Jake. His emotional outburst and causing a scene, while Jake only approaches him with love. The least he could do is comply to Jake's schedule, he knows how important it is to him. And ignoring it has brought him here, in the same situation Jakes been in with Johnnie every single time he's been in a bad mood or had a disturbance in his life.

What really gets Johnnie is the fact that he can't figure out what to do while Jake seems to always know how to handle Johnnie's depressive episodes. talk about feeling like a worthless piece of shit.

Though Johnnie grabs the basket full of clothes after being completely indulged in his self loathing. Exiting the room to throw the dirty clothes into The Washing Machine .

Johnnie sat on the couch, not looking at any screen. He was thinking, he needs to know what he wants to do with the current situation at hand. First he needed to get Jake to talk to him, which he'll probably force. As soon as he sees Jake he's going to confront him. And maybe even comfort him. And then he needs to figure out how to salvage this dumb friendship.

Eventually, Johnnie hears Jake's heavy footsteps down the hallway. He had obviously just woken up by the yawn escaping his mouth.

Johnnie shot up like an eager puppy as he awaited for Jake to walk out into the kitchen. Sure enough the tall man appears by the fridge, his hair a mess. Johnnie finds it a bit cute how he looks like a mess, but he needs to focus on the task at hand.

The older man placed a hand on the youngers shoulder, clearing his throat.

Johnnie hesitated for a moment as he searched for the perfect combination of words that wouldensure that he wouldn't dig him and Jake's friendship into a deeper grave than before,

"Jake. I'm sorry. I know how you feel, and I just-"

Jake turns around, surprised Johnnie would even try to talk to him. Typically Johnnie just stops talking to people after they get angry at him.

Jake can't stand to stay away from Johnnie like this, he's like a magnet. He can't resist his pull. It's like an itch under his skin that won't come out. So it was no surprise that it didn't take much effort to get him to talk, completely betraying his plan to avoid Johnnie at all costs

"It's not your fault bro." It was entirely Johnnie's fault. He's the ones that made Jake have a whole crisis about his sexuality,

"Can I be real with you?" He needed to get this off of his chest, the only person h could trust with his sexuality issues is Johnnie. But he can't just tell him that he's definitely got a fat crush on him, "I need advice dude."

Johnnie nods, leading Jake to the bar stools by the island in their kitchen, sitting down with Jake, "I'm all ears."

Jake clears his throat, "So I have this guy friend and he's like.. Cool I guess and like I kind of..." Jake is being extremely cautious with how he words this, making absolute sure Johnnie didn't figure out his true feelings, "He kind of made me realize that I swing both ways if you know what I mean... And it's caused me to distance myself from everyone because all I can think about is him and I just... Don't know what to do."

Johnnie's head fills with thoughts, It couldn't possibly be him. I mean, look at him! Johnnie isn't Jake's type. He likes bold people and Johnnie strayed far away from bold. Maybe it was JC? JC is super fucking bold...

Never mind who it is! Give the man some damn advice!

"Well you know... Just give it time. Maybe you guys will grow closer.. And all that gross stuff.." Johnnie is currently experiencing a disgusting amount of jealousy right now.

He's happy that Jake's found someone to try to be in a relationship with after Tara, but deep down Johnnie knew he wanted it to be himself. Johnnie wants to do the so called 'gross stuff' with Jake.

But he needs to be happy for his best friend. He need to be his biggest supporter.

And Johnnie thought he was until Jake completely broke out into silent sobs, tears escaping his eyes. Johnnie was, of course, very confused. He did everything right, he didn't let his emotions get the best of him. Or did he? Fuck.

While Johnnie was stuck in thought, Jake wraps his arms around the emo, hugging him. Was that what he really needed? Or was it just his futile attempt to substitute his overwhelming desires to taste his best friend. (In both ways.)

Johnnie. Though caught off guard, return the gesture. He rubbed little circles into Jake's back while he cried into his shoulder. Johnnie's heart aches at the view, he can't imagine how Jake felt right now.

"It'll be okay. I promise." The pair sits there, now enjoying each others warmth as Jake's sobs dry up. Johnnie clears his throat and stands up, checking the time on his phone.

"I'm off to get some food from a shitty fast food joint."

Jake groans softly at Johnnie's information, feeling like it was just a way to get out of his hug.

"Well I need someone to drive me."

Or not.
