Karma is a sick bastard. Why? Well, this is what happened last Friday.
So, I was all sad that my favorite Korean drama, My Lovely Girl, was going to end on that day. Because of my usual lack of sleep due to K-dramas, I decided to sleep at the gymnasium while waiting for the teacher. Yes, we still wait for the teacher even my batch is the eldest. I didn't technically sleep, I just close my eyes and place my head on my bag. Yes, I'm an owl.
I did wake up from time to time if anyone left or anything but I looked at my back and my friends were there, laughing at me because I just "woke up".
"Nikki, what time did you sleep?" My friend asked.
"Around 11." I said.
"Why?" My friend asked again.
"Because I was watching My Lovely Girl last night and today is the last episode." I said.
"You are getting used to staying up, aren't you?" She said.
"I guess... unless I get my 9 hours of sleep. My mom is gonna be so happy because today is the last episode." I said, being whiny in the end then my friend just chuckled.
I'll just skip to the Social Studies class. We were having a graded project where we have to make an essay about Sociology, Anthropology and Political Science while answering the guide questions. I just finished a quiz about it last Thursday then I kinda forgot about it since we can't use your notes while writing this. I was glad that it is by dyad but I still feel bad until this day. Why? During the whole essay, my partner did most of the work while I did around 10% of the essay plus grammar. I can actually tell that she was pissed but I was trying to help but my answers were too far from her standards and it's super unrelated.
So, I grabbed my USB then ran to the other building where the computers are. Take note that I was running with 1 inch heels and I regretted running with them. Technically, we were dismissed for 5 minutes before 9:30 so I was glad that I got my snack and water jug on my way down.
"Girl, chill." That was all I heard from my classmate before I passed her by.
I obviously got no chill. I ran up stairs to the computer stations beside the library. I had around three files and each file came from one pair. I had a hard time logging in to my Gmail account because someone was logged in, which was a teacher. I thought that I logged in but the internet is slow but not slow as the internet in the classroom plus I'm not patient. I let other people save the file first then tried to log in again.
Once I finished logging in and sending the file, I walked down the stairs like a person strolling in a park but I tripped over... nothing, fell forward and slid my way down the stairs. The pain is poking me like a bunch of bee stings. I cursed over the pain but a male teacher came out from a door but didn't noticed me. That's when I realized that I was lying beside the teacher's lounge and I kinda cursed loudly there. No one even noticed the tumble and pain I had experienced, especially my batch mates. I was relieved that no one saw me but at the same time, no one even asked me if I was okay. I received bruises from my left arm, my hands, my knees and feet but some of the skin came off from my right foot and I wasn't bleeding.
I was limping all the way to the table then I groaned in pain. All throughout recess, I talked about my injury and how I am going to explain to my mom.
Back at home at the same day, I was really tired and sleepy. I lied down on my bed and played Love Live a couple of times because of the Eli event then watched some videos from PrestonPlayz and Minecraft related stuff.
At dinner, I was wearing socks and sweat pants to hide the bruises then I told my mom because it is better to tell her stuff personally than over the phone. After dinner, I lied down on the bed and watched more videos while waiting for the K-drama to air. When it started, my dad started to babble so I shushed him then watched the first quarter. However, when the commercial came, I watched Minecraft again but everything happened in a blur.
I woke up and everything is so dark. I really don't know what happened like a drunk person getting a hangover. I noticed my earphones are on my bed, then I sat up and woke my mom up.
"Ma, what time is it?" I asked.
"It's 2am, why?" My mom said.
"Oh ok... wait, what?!" I said.
"Why? What's wrong?" My mom asked.
"I didn't watch the last episode. I fell asleep." I pouted.
"You can watch it in the internet, right?"
"But's cooler if I can watch that live."
"Nikki, just go to sleep."
"Fine..."
So I did what my mom told me to do. I slept and hopefully I can watch the episode the next few hours.
I woke up again and immediately searched for the last episode and surprisingly my mom, who doesn't have the interest to watch K-Dramas, knew the episode. The ending was okay but not too interesting or grand. I also searched the first episode because I also missed it but I kept on forgetting to watch it.
"Wow! Even at the very first episode, the dub was so bad." I exclaimed.
The one who dubbed Lee Hyunwook (male main character) needs to get some lessons about crying because that is always a bad thing to my ears. I think I'm quite grateful that I missed the first episode.
So in my conclusion, karma is not only terrible but also painful.
