Dread crept into every once of my pores as I sat in the makeup and hair chair, getting ready for my marriage. This wasn't a marriage out of a fairytale, not one bit. My twin sister Ophelia had gotten married to a man, and now, like her, i have to follow. But love wasn't my thing, never has been. Its disgusting and fake. But, here I am, My dark, cherry red hair being curled back into a bun with strands being allowed to fall in front of my face that was heavily caked in makeup. "Cherry, The groom is waiting what's taking so long!" My mother screeched as she stepped into the room.

"Just finishing up mother," I reply in a long sigh. She rolls her eyes in my direction before storming out of the room. She was the one, along with my father who had me married off to him. The groom. Kyrie Hawkinson.  Reluctantly, i stood up out of the chair and I dusted off imaginary lint from my long, silky, white wedding dress. My sister, Ophelia stepped behind me, Placing the veil over my head and running her hand down the mesh before gently rubbing my shoulders and whispering in my ear "You look stunning. Just try to enjoy this okay? Not for you, but for everyone else," She punctuates before stepping back. I just glare at her. It didn't make me selfish for not wanting to get married, Was it? I hadn't an clue. I let out a sigh and tore my eyes away from my reflection, stepping out of the room and finding my father waiting on me, his face burried in his watch as if he had something important to get to other than going to clubs and snorting cocain until he blacked out. He gave me a nod and entwined his arm with mine, we didn't exchange words. My father and I were too alike to get along, so silence was better than speaking. We hear the music that marked the end of my freedom begin playing, and we stepped out to the aisle.
