Aiden looked at me and a small smile creeps to his lips. It's as if he enjoyed the tingles we both felt.

" Are you okay? "

Aiden asked concerned.

"I'm fine."

I lied.

"Let's eat. "

Matt says changing the topic. I sigh
gratefully for the change of topic. I think I am still tired from my flight. We all sat and began eating.

"This is so good!"

Olivia says around a mouth full of
waffles.

Aiden nods his approval and for
some odd reason, his validation meant a
lot. Matt joined in and said,

" You cook like Mom."

I force a smile knowing that's all l could
have done. Every time I think of Mom a lump forms in my throat

" Selene "

Aiden calls my name. Hearing him say my name makes me want to hear him say my name over and over. It finally dawned on me that maybe I was experiencing the pull. The pull is what draws mates together. Snapping out of my daze I look at Aiden.

"What makes you think you can talk to
me? "

I blurt out.

Matt sends me a worried look. I stand up
and I look at him and then at Aiden.

"I know what happened earlier and | want
to let you know I have no interest in being the mate of a monster. I have a boyfriend. "

" Mia!"

Matt says cautioning me.

" Don't call me Mia, Matt you know only Mom used to call me that."

I say against the lump in my throat.

" I'm sorry, Selene, not all werewolves are bad."

Matt says trying to reason with me. I know that he's right but it doesn't change how I see them.

"Matt I know you love Olivia, and I am
happy for you. But I haven't forgotten that Werewolves killed Mom."

I say, shaking with the force of my words.

The room grew silent and no one spoke.
Olivia stands up and looks at me. Matt holds her hand being supportive.

" Aiden is my brother Selene and I know he's been waiting all his life for his mate, and that's you. You have no idea of the pain he'll be in if you reject him."

Olivia says.

"I don't want any of this!"

I yelled feeling frustrated.

"I won't force you to accept the bond Selene, but you are my mate. And l accept you. The Moon Goddess isn't wrong. "

Aiden says, seeing the pain on his face l
almost want to go and comfort him. I am not a werewolf, I know I'm not, so then why does the bond feel so strong?

" You're wrong."

I say denying that I feel anything.

Aiden looks at me and stands up. He looks at Olivia and Matt,

"I'll head out. "

Aiden says and I look away. I didn't want
to watch him leave. After Aiden left I let Olivia and Matt have some alone time. While I found myself unable to get the thoughts of Aiden out of my head. I was sitting on my bed when there was a knock on my door.
