Namjoon had been on the hunt for months, trying to catch the notorious gang member publicly known as JK. He was determined to bring him to justice, but little did he know, it was just the beginning of a much bigger and more dangerous game.

As a police officer, Namjoon had seen the aftermath of JK's organisation's violent crimes. They were known as the Black Rabbits. They had been running a gang for years, involving even youngsters. They were ruthless, fearless, and had built an empire in Busan, controlling everything from drugs to illegal weapons. And the police force had been struggling to take any of the supposed members down.

But Namjoon was determined to crack the case. He spent long hours studying JK's actions in particular, the guy being apparently the preferred member for most of their crimes. Secretly gathering evidence from some of the locals, he found out him to be not less than 25 year old which was an extremely unfair reality. Manipulation worked like that, and it could strike anybody. But every move the man made was carefully calculated and done with smooth rapidity which annoyed Namjoon as he couldn't seem to find a way in their contorted game.

Innocent people had been hurt and it was his job to catch the one responsible. He was absolutely sure that JK, short for Jeon Jungkook, was not the mastermind behind these acts but merely a pawn in a larger game. The boy was just a cunning little bastard who knew how to execute.

That night, Namjoon received a tip-off about a potential deal happening in an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of the city. Without hesitation, he jumped in his car and raced to the location, his eyebrows linking as he focused on the road, damn it he forgot his glasses in the rush.

As he arrived, he saw a figure running through the shadows, and he knew it had to be JK. He instantly called for backup as he took off on foot, chasing the fastest man he's ever been after. The pace would have been insane even for a runner  Namjoon thought and maybe he was exaggerating but he preferred staying indoor and do all the logical analysis. But of course JK was the big shot and this ought to be an exception.

Namjoon chased him through the maze-like warehouse, ducking behind crates and crates, trying to stay out of his sight. In the dimly lit space, it was hard to see where Jungkook was going, but Namjoon followed the sound of his footsteps, determined to catch him.

As they ran, Namjoon pulled out his gun and fired a few warning shots in the air. He didn't want to hurt Jungkook, but he needed to stop him before he could escape. But the running boy remained unfazed, his steps steady and swift.

The chase led them out of the warehouse and into the city streets. Namjoon hailed for backup and instructed them to gather and wait at the station, where a train was about to leave. He was sure that Jungkook would try to escape from there. It was just the perfect spot for an ambush.

And he was always right. As he arrived at the train station, he saw the young man tied up against a parked police car, surrounded by his fellow officers. Relief washed over Namjoon as he finally scanned the elusive criminal.

He approached Jungkook, lifting his chin to make eye contact. Jungkook just smirked, his eyes shining with mischief. He was disturbingly attractive, of course he had to be.

'Officer Kim, nice finally seeing you so up close,' Jungkook teased, using Namjoon's last name as a form of taunting.

Namjoon gritted his teeth, frustrated by that cocky attitude. But he couldn't let his guard down, not when the criminal was still a threat.

'Don't play stupid with me. You know why I'm here,' Namjoon said sternly, his grip tightening on the younger's chin.

Jungkook's smirk widened, and he leaned closer to Namjoon so rapidly his colleagues didn't even have time to process what was happening. In a split second, he almost bit at Namjoon's neck, but the officer was fast enough to dodge.

'Ah, too slow, my bad. That was tempting,' Jungkook taunted, his eyes sparkling with mischief.

'Save your mouth for when you'll tell me everything about your organisation,' Namjoon said sternly as he pressed Jungkook harder against the car. Under his toned body.

Jungkook's smile turned into a smirk, and he chuckled. 'You're so eager officer. Why don't you join in then? We could be partners!' He laughed loudly as he mocked him.

Namjoon's heart raced at the thought of finally dismantling the criminal empire. He's always been ready to put himself in danger, both physically and morally but everything needed time and careful planning.

He glanced at Jungkook, still smirking, enjoying the little show he put on. He had to stay focused and keep his composure. He had to fight the urge to slap that pretty face. 'I'll pass, thanks,' he lazily replied, turning to the other officers who had arrived. 'Take him in for questioning. No one starts without me being there.' He ordered ignoring Jungkook's piercing gaze on him and signalled for his fellow officers to take him into custody.

As Jungkook was being led away, he turned to Namjoon and said, 'Don't make me wait too much Officer.' The stupidest smirk Namjoon has ever seen fully displayed on his face.

He just shook his head, not willing to entertain any more of Jungkook's mind games. It's time for him to end this madness once and for all. Also he suddenly needed coffee so bad even if it was nighttime. The chasing has been so unnecessarily exhausting and the toughest work had yet to start.
