Shivya and Shivani both started staying with Gauri again and she was really happy to see her daughter. They both use to go to the bakery and help their mother, do some work. Gauri was tense about both of them, they were about to turn 21 this year.
"Ok maa we both are going to shiv temple",shivya said.
"No you both will not go the to the shiv temple", Gauri said firmly.
"But why? Maa it's been a long time since we both went to the temple",Shivani said.
"I said you can't go and that's it",Gauri scolded them.
"But why?"shivya asked.
"You will get to know soon",Gauri said.
"Ok, but maa we need to go to meet anjali",Shivani said.
"Why ?"gauri asked.
"She has called us",shivani said.
"when?"Shivya asked.
"She called me and told me to come with Shivya to her house",shivani said.
"You can go but don't you go to the shiv temple", Gauri warned them.
"Thank you", the daughters hugged their mother. They both got ready and went outside. They both took the rickshaw.
"Where do you want to go?"the driver asked.
"Shiv temple , that shiv temple near the jungle",Shivani said.
"But maa said not to go to the temple",Shivya said.
"I know that's why i had to lie", Shivani said.
"Mom will scold us".
"I know but i want to go to the shiv temple , it's been five years pal , don't you want to visit that place".
"I want to but maa will be angry".
"Who will tell her?"
"She is our mother and she gets to know everything".
"Don't worry we will just go and come as soon as possible".
They both reached the temple and went inside, it was already dusk . They both felt a kind of connected or something like that. They went inside and started praying. When shivani opened her eyes after praying she saw some snakes near Shivya. She pulled her back from the snakes and the snakes went from there.
"Maybe maa was saying about the snakes", Shivya said.
"Yeah maybe",shivani said.
They both went out , while the were about to leave somebody held Shivya's legs.
When Shivya saw , it was an old lady , with rugged clothes and messy hair.
"Mahanaag rani",The lady cried.
"Maaji i'm not Mahanaag rani", Shivya said and picked the old lady and made her sit on a bench and then she went.
They both went back home, when they rang the bell Gauri opened the door and she looked angry. It was late in the night .
"You both went to the shiv temple", Gauri looked angry.
"No we did not", Shivani said.
"I heard it from sharda aunty that she saw u both there",Gauri scolded them.
They both turned mum.
"Stay outside for the night ", Gauri said and shut the door banging.
They both sat on the stairs outside the house.
"Now?"shivya looked annoyed .
"Now? We will stay outside what else can we do",Shivani said.
"Hmmm, i said not to go to the temple now we need to stay outside tonight",Shivya said annoyed.
"Its' cold too".
Gauri opened the door and they both got up, Gauri threw a blanket on their face and again shut the door.
"This is our mother",Shivani said.
"Whenever we both have got a punishment has she ever forgiven us easily ? no right then how could she do it today",Shivya said.
They both slept outside keeping their head on each other. At night gauri looked at them from the window to check if they are ok or not. Next morning when Gauri opened the door she saw only shivani there. She woke her up and said to go inside. Then gauri looked for Shivya and saw her doing something sitting near the peepal tree.
When she walked closed she saw that her daughter was making shivalinga. She had taken a bath and her clothes were also changed.
"You still have the keys with you?"Gauri said.
Shivya nodded.
"I'm sorry i wanted to make this that's why i came in and took my clothes, i did not have a bath here i went to the lake , really", shivya said like a small child.
"I know that dear, you are still that pure hearted girl who use to make idols from mud when u were a kid", Gauri said.
Gauri also helped Shivya and shivani arrived there.she took out some peepal leaves and offered it to the shivalinga.
"maa",Shivya asked, "who is this Mahanaagrani?"
Gauri's face turned pale, "where did u hear this word?"
Suddenly that same old lady who called Shivya 'mahanaag rani' arrived there and she cried, "run, run run away , they have arrived".
"Maai who has arrived?"Shivya asked.
"THEY !!!! THOSE evils have arrived",the old lady said and was looking really scared, "they will not leave you , you don't even have your powers".
Suddenly the lady got exhausted and fainted. They all took her to the house and made her lie on a bed.
"This lady called me 'Mahanaag rani'", Shivya said, "in the shiv temple".
Gauri got scared listening to this.
