Chapter 17

Over the week, I was getting ready for the weekend, because that is when the 'Golden Trio' was going to steal the Philosopher's Stone, and I couldn't have that happen. I woke up on Saturday, and I immediately went to the locked door in the third floor corridor, to get the stone. Once inside the room, I saw a huge three-headed dog, kind of like Cerberus. I realized that there was only one of those types of dogs, and that was Cerberus. "Hey boy, it's okay, it's me." I said to him. "I know, you miss dad, but I'll get you out of here, I promise." I say. Cerberus must have recognized me because he let me into the trapped door. "Thank you buddy. If any kids come in here, block out the music, and don't let them in, alright? Good boy." I say, petting Cerberus, before going into the trap door. I fall into a plant called 'Devil's Snare', a plant that strangles its victims to death. I remembered something from Herbology. "Devil's Snare, Devil's Snare, deadly fun, but will sulk in the Sun" I muttered, I relaxed, before grabbing my wand and pointed it at the Devil's Snare. "Lumos Solem!" I say and the Devil's Snare immediately let go of me, and I fell and hit the ground. I groan in pain and get up. I saw a door and walked towards it. I noticed the door was locked so I grabbed out my wand and pointed it at the lock. "Alohomora." I say and the door unlocks. I open the door, and see a circular room with flying keys, and a broom floating in the center of the room. I look at the door that leads out of the room, and see it is locked as well. I walked up to the broom and grabbed it. The moment I grabbed the broom, all of the keys started flying towards me. I get on the broom and fly around the circular room and see a key that is rusty, and old looking. I grabbed the rusty key and flew back down to the door and used the key to unlock the door. I opened the door and got out of the circular room, and closed the door before the flying keys could follow me. I turned around and saw a huge chessboard, and realized this was the next task. I have to play wizard's chess and win, to continue on. I stood next to the king pawn and played chess. I won the game, and the pawns on the other side let me through. I walked through the next door, and saw a dead troll and figured it was the troll that broke in the castle on Halloween. I walked through the next door and saw the Mirror of Erised. I walked up to the mirror and looked into it. "Of course. Only the person who wanted to find the Stone - find it, but not use it- would be able to get it." I say as I felt something fall into my pocket. I reach into my pocket and pull out the Stone. I smirked and saw a set of stairs, leading out of the chamber. I walked up the stairs and exited the room. I went to the common room and told everyone what had happened. I showed them the Stone and told them it would be going back to Nicolus Flamel. "Dumbledors plans have been canceled." I say.
