Chapter 16

The next morning I woke up and woke Luna up and went to the Great Hall for breakfast. I saw my owl flying towards me with a letter in her talons. I grabbed the letter from her as she landed, and opened it.

Of course she can stay with us, we don't want any of your friends to be hurt or neglected. In fact, me and your mother decided she can stay with us for the foreseeable future. Tell Luna that she doesn't have to deal with her parents for a while.

I showed Luna and she was extremely happy. We walked into the Great Hall. "Hey Winta, can I ask you something?" She asked. "Of course, what is it?" I asked her. "Well, I don't think I'm the daughter of Zeus and Hera." She said, "What do you mean?" I asked her. "Well, it's just, I look nothing like Zeus or Hera, and  I can control fire and wind, something neither of them can do." she explained. I nodded and looked at her. "How about, during Summer break, I'll take you to Gringotts and get you an inheritance test." I said to her and smiled reassuringly. She nodded and we sat down at our table. learned how to brew Wiggenweld. "The Wiggenweld Potion is a Healing potion with the power to do what?" Professor Snape asked and I raised my hand in the air, and so did Granger. "Ms. Malfoy, can you tell me what Wiggenweld is?" Professor Snape asked. "Of course sir," I say. "The Wiggenweld potion, is a healing potion that has the power to awaken a person from a magically-induced sleep. It also can be used to heal injuries. A prince once used this potion to awaken a princess who had been given the Drought of the Living Dead, by the hag Leticia Somnolence." I said. "Very good, 10 points to Silverwing." He said. "Now, I want you all to brew this potion by the end of the class," He said. "I will not tolerate any tomfoolery." He quickly added. I opened my book and started gathering ingredients. "We need to add salamander blood until the potion turns red." Luna said. I added the salmader's blood until the potion turned red. "Okay." I say, waiting for the next instruction. "Stir until the potion turns orange." Luna instructed. I stir the potion until it turns orange. "Got it." I said, signaling for the next instructions. "Now we need to add more salamander blood, this time until it turns orange." She said, tracing her finger along the page as she read. I add the blood until it turns orange. "Ready." I say. "Next stir counterclockwise until the potion turns green." She instructed. I stir counterclockwise, until it turns green. "Okay, what's next?" I asked. "Add more salamander blood, this time, until it turns a turquoise." Luna said. I add the blood and wait for further instructions. "Heat until the potion turns indigo." She said, I nodded and turned on the flame, and heated the potion. It turned indigo a few minutes later, and I turned the heat down to low. "Add more salamander blood until the potion turns pink, then heat it until it turns red." Luna said. I added the blood until it turns pink, then I heated it until it turned red. "Alright." I say. "Now add five lionfish spines, then add Flobberworm Mucus until it turns purple." she said, and I added the five lionfish spines, and the Flobberworm Mucus. "Alright." I say. "Stir until it turns red." She said, I stirred for a few minutes until it turned red. "Okay." I say. "Add more Flobberworm Mucus, until it turns orange, then stir until it turns yellow." She said as I started doing that. "Now shake until it turns orange again." Luna said. I shake the cauldron until it turns orange again. "Add honey water until it turns turquoise, then heat until it turns pink again, and finally add salamander blood until it turns green." She said closing the book. I finished brewing the Wiggenweld, and grabbed a glass vial and some tongs to put a small amount of the potion into the vial. I used the tongs to scoop the vial into the cauldron, and I scooped up some of the Wiggenweld into the vial and I put the stopper on the vial and brought it up to Professor Snape's desk. "Finished." I say, putting the vial on his desk. "Good work." Professor Snape said, looking at the vial closely. I walked back to my seat and waited for the bell to ring. The bell rang fifteen minutes later and Luna, Draco, and I went to our next class, which was Flying Class. Luna was really good on a broom and Draco was really good. Luna wanted to try out for beater on the Slytherin Quidditch team next year. "You should." I say as we flew around obstacles. "Thanks!" Luna said. "You're welcome." I say and we fly on the outside of the castle, and flew back to the front of  the school, where Madam Hooch was waiting. "That was fun." I say. Luna laughed, and we went to Charms. We take our seats and wait for class to begin. "Today, we will be learning Accio, the summoning charm." Professor Flitwick said. I grabbed out my wand and a book to use, and Luna and I got into position and took turns summoning the book from one another. After Charms, we went to lunch, which was the same as usual, loud and full of kids. I gave Luna some earplugs, so she doesn't have to listen to the loudness. After lunch, we went to Defense Against the Dark Arts, taught by Professor Quirrel. "T-t-today cl-cl-class, we w-w-will be l-l-learning E-e-expelliarmus, the d-d-disarming sp-spell." Professor Quirrell stuttered. I grabbed out my spell book, and looked at the incantation and to see if it has a specific wand movement. After I check both of those, I start practicing the wand movement, which is kind of v-shaped. After practicing on my own, Luna and I took turns practicing the disarming spell on each other. The rest of the day was the same, practice and take notes. After classes, we went back to the common room, and talked for a bit, before I had to go to Quidditch practice. "I'll go back in a bit." I say, grabbing my Quidditch things. "Can I come with you? I just want to watch." Luna asked. "Of course. C'mon!" I say, walking with Luna to the Quidditch pitch. When we got to the pitch, I saw the Gryffindor team in the stands. I scowled and walked into the changing rooms, letting Luna go to one of the stands. "I didn't know they  were going to be here." I say, pointing at the stands outside. "Neither did we." Pucey said. "Can't cancel practice now." Flint said, coming out of the captain's quarters. I sighed and got changed. "Alright everyone, let's go." Flint said and we walked out of the changing rooms and onto the pitch. I mounted my broom, and Flint told me I start off as keeper, making sure the quaffle doesn't get in one of the hoops. I nodded and flew up to the goal posts. I blocked everything, not letting the quaffle in any of the hoops. After practice, me and Luna went back to the common room and went to sleep.
