"So... you two went on a motorcycle joy ride, got off, had arrows shot at you, found out Bella's sister was one of those shooters, and escaped through the water?" Chiron looked unimpressed as Annabeth recounted the story Thalia, along with Percy and Jason, had just told.
"It wasn't our fault! We didn't know someone was going to be in the woods as well as have clearsight," Thalia pleaded with Annie, obviously more scared of the blonde than the half horse god beside her.
"Yeah, and I'm pretty sure they were planning to attack, not just looking for a quick kill in the woods," Percy added, Bella still tucked against his side. She hadn't said much since they had moved to the Big House, other than to answer Chiron's few questions. It was abundantly clear to the room that Bella was going through some... emotions.
"We have had problems with this group before– it's more than just those five. This incident confirmed that they are more powerful than we've realized in the past." Chiron looked solemn, "From my understanding, they're an organization comprised of clearsighted mortals who seem to believe that Demigods fall into the category of monsters. One has to question just how much they know about our world and our... creatures."
"They have to know some things, considering the arrows they were using weren't normal," Bella finally said, "I grabbed one and shoved it into Thalia's holster. It had this rainbow sheen, but the metal was black."
Thalia handed the arrow over to Chiron, who inspected it thoroughly before looking up at the surrounded teens, "This is underworld obsidian. That means this group has to have some kind of supplier. I'd say that this rat would also be feeding them information. Now all we need to figure out is who the rat might be, and what they've told this organization." Chiron's face was drawn tight, which made Bella feel even more squishy on the inside. If Chiron was worried about this little group of teenagers, it couldn't be anywhere near good.
"What about my lunch with Carissa, is there a chance I could still go and see if she... spills anything? I'd bring Percy and Jason with me," Bella wasn't stupid, she knew there was a slim chance her sister would even show up, knowing Bella was some kind of 'monster'.
"You can try, but I highly doubt she'll show up," Chiron sighed, "It's late, why don't you all head back to your cabins."
They filed out of the Big House, but all stood still on the porch. Percy finally spoke up from his spot next to Bella, who was still using him as some kind of teddy bear, "Slumber party in cabin fourteen? I don't think Chiron will say anything just this once," His smile was mischievous, but Bella knew he was doing it for her own benefit. She really didn't want to be alone right now.
"Sure, just let me head over to my cabin. I have to leave someone responsible in charge otherwise Clarisse will be after me again– I can't have anymore prank wars." Thalia laughed, taking a step onto the lawn. Annie nodded, following the black haired girl.
"Why don't we all meet at Iris cabin in twenty minutes, so we have time to get some supplies and change." Annabeth said, already heading toward Athena cabin, "Percy and Bella are on snack duty, because I know Percy keeps pajamas in the Iris cabin, and they have the shortest walk. Jason, after you change can you come help me with some blankets and pillows?"
"Sure thing, Annie!" Jason jogged off, leaving Percy and Bella to sneak back inside the Big House for some snacks. Percy found some hot chocolate and 'mallows hidden behind the chips– Bella didn't blame Chiron for hiding them– while Bella raided the cabinets for the brownies she now knew Dionysus made every Wednesday. They made the trek back to cabin fourteen laden with sweets and leftovers from the two gods– who definitely knew Percy and Bella stole food from them every Saturday night. Bella wouldn't say anything, but she had noticed the cabinets begin to fill with their favorites the more they had binge nights. Chiron and Mr. D were big softies.
