I had to pee. The game was almost over with a 4 point lead. I'd sat in my seat watching everyone, but Dru dribble and shoot the ball. I shook my leg in annoyance, having to go so bad.

"Ma, I'm going pee." I whispered, running away before she could stop me.

I'll be clear, I hated these games. I spent the entire time trying not to get turned on from the sweat dripping down hot girls' bodies. I fanned my face off, making it to the furthest bathroom away from everyone. It was the girls' locker room bathroom, so I needed to hurry before I was caught by Dru. Then again, the thought of being near her even for a second through a stall sounded appealing.

I groaned, entering the last stall on the left. I had on a mini skirt today because my sister would only let me borrow that and nothing else this morning for school, and I never changed. It was ridiculous how much of my leg was showing and how easy it was to go pee. I was pulling on my undies and scrunched the skirt down when I heard the cheers of the final seconds of the game.

"Guess that's a good thing." I murmured to myself, opening the stall to leave, still pulling my skirt down, showing a little too much thigh for public when-

----our eyes caught.

Through cheers and the crowd, I could hear nothing, but my own heart beat staring at Dru like a lovesick, horny fool. Sweat dripped down her face, and over the curvature of her jaw into her neck and I tried not to lick my lips, but it happened all the same.

"Christ, get out of here." She whispered, pushing me out of the back entrance into the hallway.

A crowd of kids hit me, spinning me into the wall. I grabbed on to it, righting my skirt the best I could. "The fuck was that?" I grumbled.

"Are you okay?" Kelsy, of all people, grabbed my arm.

"I think I bumped my head. No big thing." I chuckled, holding on to her arm as we walked out.

"Why do you look weird?" Kelsy asked once we were outside standing by my parents suv.

"Nothing. I don't know. I ran into Dru in the bathroom. She grabbed me and threw me out." I shrugged, twirling the ends of my hair in my fingers.

I turned to face the SUV window, bracing myself on the car with both palms on the glass. Kelsy laughed at me, smacking my back. "Breathe, baby. Breathe."

"Lena-" Dru yelled to my mom somewhere behind me. I looked into the window and saw them a few feet away. My mom nodded and smiled at Dru. Dru smiled back and said thank you, then proceeded to make her way to me.

I closed my eyes trying to will her away, but I could feel her there. Her glare of green eyes digging into my soul as if a part of me belonged to her.

"Turn around, Ruthie." She commanded, and lord, help me. I turned around to look at her.

She smirked, biting her lower lip. Without saying a word she grabbed my wrist and pulled me behind her. I followed knowing full well that she was pissed about something. If I were her I'd be pissed about all of it. And I guess she was right, at this point we had to start dealing with it or bad things were just going to keep happening.

I lit a cigarette in the parking lot on the way. I was on my third drag when she groaned like a man being tormented, grabbing my smoke and throwing it on the ground. She opened her car door, shoving me inside. I licked my teeth, buckling in. This was going to be a bumpy ride.

When my best friend gets mad she likes to drive. Fast. Into the middle of nowhere most of the time. Where we live it's mountains and hay fields and rice fields up into lakes of the snow embankment to the nearest mountain top. Skies the limit so to say. But I didn't want to go driving if she was mad. She can get scary.
