Chapter 21

Y/n's POV

You went to Mikey's apartment the next day after getting his address and knocked on the door nervously. You haven't seen him ever since your parents died and it was nerve wracking, not to mention he has a girlfriend and his own kid.

He opened the door and smiled at you, as if you never left. His hair was longer, just going past his shoulders and still looked the same.
" It's good to see you, Y/n! "

He hugged you and welcomed you in. Inside was a little girl watching TV. She had long blonde hair, tied up into two pigtails and had ocean blue eyes. When she smiled, she looked exactly like Mikey.

She stood up, holding a bunny teddy, and hugged Mikey's calf,
" Is this my new babysitter, Papa?"

He nodded, needing to look down from how small she was. In honesty, she was adorable. You felt like picking her up and squeezing her to death. Her voice was cute and high pitched.

Mikey introduced her,
" This is Arya. She's allergic to peanuts and broccoli and she likes do literally anything,"

You could tell she was nervous around you from the way she was hiding behind his leg. You knelt down to her height, sending her a kind smile. You knew that children often don't trust new people, other from family members, and you can't force that trust to happen.

" Hi Arya, I'm Y/n. I was thinking we could nip to the cinema and watch a movie and your choice, and if you want, I can make you some princess gowns? Does that sound fun?"

As you said that, her eyes lit up in excitement, her nerves instantly washing away. She jumped up and down with a big grin on her face, causing you and Mikey to chuckle at her cuteness.

You stood up to face Mikey again,
" What time will you be back?"

" Around 4. I won't be long,"

He ruffled your hair like he always used to and walked out of the apartment, closing the door behind him. You held out your hand for Arya to take, and she gladly did, before you led her to sit on the couch. You got out your phone and showed her all the kid movies that will be streaming soon,
" You can pick any movie to watch today,"

She giggled and scrolled and pointed at a movie. It was Tangled. ( let's just pretend it came out in their year ) You booked the tickets and looked around, noticing that she was still in her pyjamas,
" Did Mikey leave any clothes out for you?"

She nodded and ran towards a pile of folded clothes that were placed on a chair and gave you them. It was a pink dress with high knee, white socks, black shoes and a white cardigan. It also included two pretty pink bows to go in her hair.

You got her dressed and grabbed your keys, holding her hand. Walking out, you locked the apartment door with Mikey's keys and headed out, strapping her firmly and securely in the passenger seat.

Before you were about to drive off, Eren had called you. Sighing, you answered,
" Eren, I'm not going to be coming until later, I'm busy,"

Arya innocently asked, her voice being heard across the phone,
" Who's Eren?"

Your eyes widened a little at her saying something. Eren was silent for a moment and stated, confused entirely,
" Is that a child? What are you doing with a child, Y/n?"

You laughed nervously,
" I'm looking after Mikey's daughter, Arya, for the day,"

" Mikey had a daughter?"

" Yes,"

" Alright, I'll see you later,"

He then declined the call, which to you, was quite rude. You wondered what got a stick up his ass before shrugging it off, needing to pay attention to Arya and head to the cinema.

As you were driving to the cinema, Arya hummed cutely,
" Papa has mentioned an Eren before,"

This peaked your interest, wondering what Mikey has been saying, you asked, making sure to keep your attention on the road whilst you're at it,
" What did Papa say about him?"

She responded innocently, not knowing a thing at what's going on,
" He said that he was a bag guy and that he did bad things,"

You furrowed your eyebrows at the information,
all this time, Mikey knew where Eren was and what he was doing, but he didn't think to tell you through all the depression you went through from worrying for him? This made you angry, but you didn't show it since it would scare her.

You asked, feeling a little bit bad for using her for information but kept going,
" Anything else?"

" He also said on the phone to his friend that he liked to be with a lot of women! He even suspected that he has a child of his own!"

You almost crashed from the news, feeling as if you were going to throw up by the second. Your heart shattered like glass pieces whilst you continued to drive. You tried your best not to show any sign of grief in front of Arya.

You sent her a smile, despite feeling the sudden urge to cry,
" What food do you want to take into the cinema?"

She placed her small finger on her chin from thought,
" Sweet Popcorn and some chocolates please!"

Her excitement washed away your feelings just a little bit. You laughed, ignoring how your throat was burning from holding back sobs, and turned on the radio. She danced and sang the whole wa whilst you tried to convince yourself it was a rumour and that it couldn't possibly be real.

But it was.

Yet again, Eren had broken your heart.
