Chapter 12

Y/n's POV

You woke up to the sound of a heart monitor and bright lights blinding your vision. Your body ached at every movement you made and your head pounded like it had been hit by a drum.

Slowly sitting up, you winced loudly at the sudden sharp pain in your stomach. Glancing down, you saw that your stomach was wrapped heavily in bandages that were slightly stained by blood.

Glancing beside you , the first thing you saw was your Mother and Father sleeping in the corner, both leaning on pillows from their bed. Somehow, but your Mother sensed movement and woke up, only to see you staring back at her.

Tears formed into her eyes as she shot up energetically from worry, pulling you into a tight hug, being careful of the stitch wound. Your Father fell off his chair from his wife suddenly jumping up like a wild rabbit.

You chuckled a little, your voice a little bit raspy,
" Hi Mother, "

She soon calmed down and sat beside you, holding your hand in hers. You asked, glancing at the time before watching your Father telling your friends the news on his phone,
" How long was I out?"

Your mother just glanced at the floor, looking more sad than you've ever seen her be,
" A week. They almost lost you, Y/n, it was so scary, but Eren managed to transfer some of his blood to you since he was the only one with your type,"

Shocked by the fact that Eren saved your life, you couldn't help but smile a little, but the moment was ruined when Akira ran into the room, practically in happy tears and pulled you into a tight embrace.

You winced, and it took her a moment to realise but she immediately pulled away, apologising a little. Looking around, you realised that Mikey nor some of the gang members weren't here.

You asked,
" Where's Mikey?"

The tension came out of nowhere, making everything seem awkward. You turned to your Mother for an explanation, the sudden silence making you worry. She just responded with a hint of guilt in her gaze,
" We found out they were gang members and I and your Father agreed to forbid you or them from seeing you,"

Your heart shattered into a millions of pieces as you looked at her in disbelief, snatching your hand away from hers, you bursted out,
" You what?! They're my friends and you can't change that. They saved my life!"

She suddenly snapped,
" They were also the ones who put your life at risk!"

" Not by choice!"

A single tear dropped from your eyes as it fell down your cheek. You wiped it, feeling a mixture of emotions, sadness, anger, fury,
" You may not see it, but they're great friends. They were there when you did shitty mistakes like this, when Akira and Rio weren't even in this country,"

Akira stepped forward nervously, interrupting the conversation,
" Y/n is right. They've always had her back, whatever happened it wasn't their fault,"

Your Mother glanced at her husband, who just shrugged at the situation, not knowing what to do. She turned back to you and saw how desperate you were to see and have them back, she just groaned in frustration,
" Fine! You can see them again, but if they do one more thing, whether it's a mess up or a mistake and it includes your safety. They're going,"

You pulled her into a hug, thanking her multiple times but the pain made you wince, breaking apart from the hug. A knock on the door was heard, and all eyes were on Eren. You felt your heart skip a beat when you saw him.

" May I have a word with Y/n, please? Alone,"

Everyone nodded whilst Akira just winked at you, causing you to roll your eyes. Eren sat beside you, staring at your bandaged stomach. A single tear dropped from his eye, dropping onto your hand. You looked at him in both shock and surprise, not expecting this to happen.

The more he tried to resist crying, the more tears fell. He tried to hide the fact that he was crying, but you grabbed his hand that was covering his face and cupped it within yours. He began to sob,
" I'm sorry I couldn't protect you, I -"

You interrupted him, cupping his cheek and wiping his tears with your thumb, sending him a kind smile,
" But you did. Without you, I wouldn't have survived in the hospital. Eren, you may not realise it, but you have to see yourself the way I do now,"

He leant into your hand, his tears slowly staring to stop. He glanced at your lips and brought his head towards his, placing his lips on your own. The kiss wasn't passionate but full of love and gentleness. You smiled and kissed back, soon pulling away to look in his eyes.

He asked,
" Will you be my girlfriend?"

You giggled, kissing his cheek softly,
" Of course,"
