In the depths of the void of darkness, Eztia could feel that a deep sense of worry and sadness consumed her as she thought of the people she left in the previous world. She wondered how they were coping with her sudden disappearance -- or her sudden death to be exact, and her heart ached at the thought of the pain they must be enduring. To be honest, the thought of leaving them behind without giving them a proper goodbye filled her with a profound sense of guilt.
Amidst her concern for those she cared about, Eztia could not ignore the ever-growing homesickness that tugged at her soul. She yearned for the familiarity of her own world, the comfort of her loved ones, and the warmth of her true home. The void of darkness only intensified her longing, making her feel isolated and adrift. Tears welled up in her eyes as she contemplated her current state; it was as if a part of her had been torn away and left an emptiness that seemed impossible to fill.
Lost in her thoughts and emotions, Eztia was startled when a faint voice resonated through the darkness. It was distant at first, barely audible, but it grew louder and more persistent.
"Eztia, it's time to wake up."
The voice seemed to come from all directions, yet it felt intimate and familiar, like a whisper in her ear. It carried a soothing tone as if it was urging her to emerge from her despair.
Slowly, Eztia blinked her eyes open and found herself floating in a vast expanse of radiant light. The brilliance overwhelmed her senses, but amidst the radiance, a small ball of light danced in the air right in front of her. It radiated a soothing energy that calmed her troubled heart and it also emitted a soft glow, inviting her closer.
How curious…
Feeling drawn to the light, she moved towards the ethereal light and as she drew nearer, she felt a sense of familiarity and comfort emanating from it, it was as though it held a piece of the answers she sought.
With hesitant anticipation, Eztia reached out her hand and touched the ball of light. Instantly, a surge of energy coursed through her and enveloped her being with a profound sense of peace and reassurance. The light seemed to embrace her, casting away the remnants of darkness that clung to her soul.
At that moment, Eztia knew that she was not alone. There was a presence, she could feel it. It was like a guiding force that offered solace and direction.
Then the voice returned, its tone childish yet firm, and it came from the ball of light. "Eztia, it is really nice to eventually meet you. I had been watching you, you see, and I wanted to say… you'd done them well."
"Huh?"
"Why did you sound so confused? You should give yourself a round of applause for being able to get close towards them without a problem." The ball then let out a "ding" sound. "Ah, right, I haven't told you who I am yet. I'm System O', your guide for your next journey. Due to letting yourself die, which is three times, my boss decided that it would be best if I were to assist you through your next journey."
"My next journey?" Eztia repeated aloud in an incredulous tone as she began furrowing her brows slightly and crossing her arms over her chest. "What if I don't want to continue and just want to go home?"
The ball of light seemed to falter at her words. "But don't you want to go and meet your favourite characters? You still have a lot -- and I mean, a lot of worlds you haven't transported into. In addition, according to my boss, you have no choice but to continue it if you want to go home."
