Chapter two

(Time skip)

Enid woke up to a knock on her door and was greeted by Emma.
Enid smiled and said, 'Hi Emma.'
Emma apologized for what their mom had said and expressed how proud they are of Enid.
She then asked, "How did you sleep?" Emma asked Enid and then tried to convince her to tell her about Nevermore.
Enid explained "There were four main groups which are werewolves, vampires, stoners, and sirens, as well as other outcasts... (Enid proceeded to tell the whole story since she joined Nevermore)".
Emma exclaimed, "It all sounds so exciting! I can't wait to come here."
Enid smiled and hugged her sister before Emma left the room.
Enid then grabbed her phone and started watching TikTok or something.

(Time skip)

Wednesday had been at home for two weeks already.
She spent her time writing, walking outside, practicing archery, and spending time with Pugsley.
It was 9:00am the next morning, Wednesday was already awake and typing on her typewriter.
As she heard her phone buzzing, she quickly checked the screen and noticed new messages from an unknown number.
Upon opening the chat, she read the following

-Message-
Unknown number

Unknowm: Can you find me Wednesday?

Me: How do you know my name?
And what do you want anyway?

Unknown: Oh Wednesday, you know me too...
Unknown: I'll lead you to me🤭

Me: What does the picture mean?
And where do you want me to go?
What makes you want me to get there?

Unknown: Just because
Do you know how to get to (gives address)?

Me: Of course. But why there? If you're stalking me, wouldn't a forest or a more secluded place be better for you?

Unknown: No, please get there as soon as possible ok, I can't wait🫶

Wednesday was certain that this person was not a professional stalker, despite all the pictures and emojis.

(Time skip)

Later that evening, she left her room to have dinner, and her parents were pleased to see her out and about.
They all began to eat turkey or something.
After they finished, Wednesday spoke up, "Mother, father, may I ask you something?"
Morticia replied, "Of course, my deathly flower."
Wednesday continued, "Could I please leave for a few days, maybe weeks? I am working on my new case I need it as part of my investigation."
Her parents exchanged a brief glance before nodding in agreement.
Gomez said, "Of course, if it is necessary for your work, you may go."
Wednesday nodded and thanked them, then went upstairs to get ready and pack.
In just one hour, she was ready and had everything in her backpack.
She took a shower, brushed her teeth, fixed her braids, and changed into her pajamas.
She climbed into bed and began reading a book she found in her bedroom.
As time passed, fatigue set in, and she closed the book before drifting off to sleep.

(Time skip)

It was 7:00 am.
Wednesday slowly opened her eyes and got up.
She went to the bathroom to take a shower and change.
Then, she went down the stairs to the kitchen to have breakfast.
After eating, Wednesday went to the living room where her parents were sitting.
Wednesday she informed her parents that she would be leaving in about five minutes.
After nodding in agreement, she retrieved the backpack she had packed earlier and headed to the front door of the Addams family house.
Lurch drove her to the nearest airport.
Then he left.
Wednesday entered the airport and was immediately taken aback by the overwhelming noise and chaotic atmosphere.
She thought to herself, 'I have never seen such a crowded and unpleasant place. I don't understand why people would come here just for travel.'
She took a deep breath and walked towards the body scanner.
The airport staff member instructed her, "Please walk through the scanner so we can ensure your eligibility to board the plane. Also, please place your backpack in the box."
Although Wednesday was unsure why she had to do it, she complied, knowing that she wouldn't be allowed to board the plane otherwise.
After placing her backpack in the box, Wednesday waited for the signal from the lady to proceed through the scanner.
However, as soon as she stepped in, the body scanner started beeping, and
she was unsure of what she had done wrong.
The lady then asked if she was wearing any metal items, such as earrings.
Wednesday reached into her shoe and retrieved a silver pocket knife.
At that moment, her backpack went through the scanner and set off an alarm too.
The security officer opened the backpack and was surprised to find two additional knives, a taser, a hammer, and a rope.
"Why are you bringing all these things on the plane, miss?" the woman asked.
Wednesday hesitated before replying, "I'm going hunting in the woods, and I need these supplies. Many animals live near the area I'm going to." she lied.
"I'm sorry, but those items are not allowed on the airplane," she said as she threw them out.
Wednesday secretly put her pocket knife back in her shoe, took the backpack, and gave the lady a death stare.
She then sat in the chair and waited for the plane to board.

(Time skip)

It was the afternoon and Wednesday had finally made it out of the airport when she received the following message from an unknown number again

-The message-
Unknown number

Unknown: Are you coming soon?

Me: Yes, where do you want to meet?

Unknown: Inside the house, just ring the bell

However, Wednesday did not respond to this message, and of course she won't ring the bell, it could be a trap.
She walked on the sidewalk towards the house.
After a few hours, she arrived at the address provided by the unknown caller.
Without hesitation, she climbed onto the roof and pulled out her pocket knife to pick a lock to open the window.
However, the window suddenly opened and...

Hehe I'm gonna leave you on a cliffhanger.
Btw I know this chapter was a big big boring but I promise it"ll get better. I wanted it to be slow burn which doesn't really work for now but you'll see what happens next.
