Alice White è una giovane ragazza di Small Heath (Inghilterra).
Alice è la migliore amica di Ada Shelby, sorella di Thomas Shelby., capo dei peaky blinders.
Thomas é un uomo che ha visto il lato cattivo del mondo, dopo la guerra non é più lo stesso e per questo una volta ritornato si butta a capofitto sul lavoro; scommesse, traffico di sigarette e alcool, e corse di cavalli.
