" Amidst the petals of desire, their souls entwined, creating a garden of emotions waiting to bloom."

Ava's POV:

The night went into its darkest facet but my mind was unable to process anything. The pain in my body has ebbed but the pain in my heart will never be.

As I lay curled on the cold floor, the darkness around me seemed to mirror the shadows within. The pain in my body was tangible, but the ache in my heart cut deeper. Conflicting emotions surged within me—love entwined with uncertainty, desire tangled with fear.

Slowly standing up, a hiss escaped my lips as a sharp pain jolted through my lower region. Physical agony became a manifestation of the emotional turmoil we grappled with. His name flashing on the screen was a trigger, evoking tears that blurred the line between love and heartbreak.

Cutting the call, I put the phone back on the table. Veering around, I had hardly taken a step when my phone rang again. Turning around, I saw his name.

"Hello," I answered hoarsely. Harsh breathing can be heard from the other side. We both didn't say anything, I took the phone away to cut the call.

"Don't cut the call," his gruff, demanding voice came from the other side.

"Why,"?

"Where were you,"? He responded to my question with his question.

"And that matters to you,"?

"Love," he warned.

Not having any soul, I didn't utter a word. Only our intense breathing can be heard mending through the phone.

"Just don't cut the call," he whispered after a long hesitation. I didn't say anything just sat on the bed.

Didn't know when I went to dreamless shuteye, his voice singing lullaby, the most rhythmic lullaby.

Standing before the pack house, I didn't know I would be this wreck to enter inside it one day. Taking a deep breath, I get inside. The packed house was vacant as everyone was in school and the warriors were training in the training ground.

"Hello Elizabeth," I called softly to her as she was busy dusting a vase in the living room.

"Hello, Ava Dear. How are you," she hugged me in a motherly embrace.

"I'm good. I-I," Looking around, I avoid looking into her eyes. Playing with the hem of my skirt, I avoided looking at her.

Taking my hands in hers, she smiled warmly and ushered me inside. Without any word, she took me to a room on the second floor.

"This is your room, dear," Elizabeth said softly as she opened the door.

"How do you like it,"? Elizabeth inquired.

"It's beautiful," I answered honestly.

"I know. Alpha decorated it himself," Elizabeth disclosed with a knowing smile making my eyes wide.

"Wh-what,"?

"Sometimes we became a captive of our own emotions and turmoils. We don't know what's right and wrong," Elizabeth uttered softly.

"And, what should we do then,"? I couldn't help but ask.

"Leave it to fate," Elizabeth gave a gentle squeeze to my hands and left.

I gazed around the room, still couldn’t wrap my mind around the fact that Alpha Xavier decorated this room, by himself. The interiors, furnishings everything was according to my liking. How does he know this? I went to the window, you can see the delightful garden from here. Different, beautiful flowers prancing with the rhythm of the wind.
