I woke up with the first light of morning. Or at least, I thought I did because Lisa was already awake and ready. She was standing at the foot of my bed.

"Did you wake up, sleeping beauty?" Blinking my eyes, I asked, "How long have you been standing there?" "Not too long. Come on, get up and get ready. Otherwise, we'll miss breakfast." Rubbing my eyes, I questioned, "What breakfast?"

"Mr. Wilson called us this morning and invited us for breakfast. Since you were still asleep, the decision was up to me. Look, if we delay a bit more, it will be rude to him." "But I have lunch with Will today."

"That's great. It means time will fly by as we keep ourselves busy until noon. Come on, Sue, you complained a lot."

"Oh, okay." I quickly got out of bed and headed to the bathroom. After taking care of my personal hygiene, I put on my white floral dress with frills that ended just above my knees. "Today, I want to play the good girl." When I was fully ready, I called out to Lisa waiting in her room. Once she grabbed her bag, we left the house.

Mr. Wilson opened the door with a big smile on his face. "Hello, welcome girls. Today, you both are shining so brightly," he said, directing us to the dining room. "Suena must have infected you with that sparkle. I have a lunch appointment today," Lisa replied to Mr. Wilson's words. "Lisa!" I looked at Lisa with a mix of embarrassment and nervousness. Mr. Wilson, on the other hand, chose to ignore it. I could understand why Lisa behaved that way. She was trying to bring out her feelings, thinking that Mr. Wilson was against me.

After Mr. Wilson's guidance, we sat at the breakfast table. Everything was truly beautiful. The table was so carefully set that only bird's milk was missing. It was a breakfast table prepared with great care.

"Mr. Wilson, this table looks amazing. Don't tell me you prepared all this." The man's dark coffee-colored eyes lit up with interest. "Actually, I didn't expect such a performance from myself. But it turned out well. If you girls are happy, Sue, I can always do more." Although this excessive familiarity made me a little uncomfortable, I responded with a forced smile.

While chatting and enjoying breakfast, Lisa suddenly stood up. "Oh, I'm so sorry. I need to leave urgently. Everything was wonderful, Mr. Wilson. Please don't get up, and continue." We stood up at the same time as Mr. Wilson.

"There's nothing wrong, is there? I can come with you." "Oh no, no. It's not a big deal. I'll tell you later, but don't worry; nothing happened to anyone." For a moment, I felt relieved. Lisa quickly said goodbye and left. As she left, Mr. Wilson winked at me without being seen. This meant the issue was related to a guy. This made me feel much more at ease. We continued our conversation where we left off.

"Look, what I'm going to say, Sue, I have some acquaintances at Oxford University in the UK. I told them about you. We talked about it last time. You said you didn't want it, but I don't want you to miss such a perfect educational opportunity..." I interrupted Mr. Wilson,

"I'm sorry for interrupting you. But I've told you before; I'm not interested in studying abroad." Suddenly, the man sparkled.

"Why?" I flinched at his yelling.

"B-Because my family and friends are here." He stood up angrily.

"What friends? Are these the friends who made a bet on you?"

"I don't understand what you're saying."

"You never understand anything. Oh God, why doesn't it work? Why doesn't anything go the way I want?" He suddenly turned to me.

"I gave you that cinema ticket to go with Lisa. I explicitly told you to go with Lisa and not with Will. So, what did you do? You went out with that useless Will!"
