Okay, first things first. I never wanted to be a half-blood. Being a half-blood-it's dangerous. It can get you killed in some pretty nasty ways. If you recognize yourself in these pages, stop reading, else they'll be after you too. But if you don't, if you believe that all this is just fiction, just a make believe story...I envy you.
My name is Annie Chain, short for Annabella. (I like nicknames.) I'm eleven years old. I was raised by the Roman Legion. And no, I'm not a Roman demigod. I'm one hundred percent Greek.
My dad is Poseidon. The Greek god of the sea. I thought he was Neptune. He isn't. Apparently, my father still doesn't like his Roman form. Not sure why I was raised by the Romans. All I know is that my mother died when I was young and the Romans took me in. Maybe they were closer than the Greeks.
On a little field trip to Camp Half-Blood, my first since I had only just turned eleven, I met Chiron, the trainer of the Greeks. He took one look at me and decided I was Greek. Turns out, he was right.
Let's just say I'm not the perfect Roman soldier. I can't do the whole military training thing. I'm told I'm like Percy Jackson, my much older brother. He was sent to the Roman camp, and he was certainly not a Roman. They knew he wasn't pretty quick, so why I lasted close to six years there? Who knows?
Anyway, with the Legion, I stuck out like a sore thumb. Not to mention, Neptune has never had any kids. I would have been the first...you know... if I was Roman.
My dad had appeared at camp to claim me as his Greek daughter. I'm currently his only mortal kid. Apparently, after Percy, his last mortal child died, he decided he wouldn't have any demigods for a while. I don't really understand the gods. They make no sense sometimes.
So, after arriving at Cabin 3, my new home, I decided to look around. The last person to live here was Percy. I wanted to see what he was like.
I should probably explain that Percy was alive fifty-four years ago. He died at a young age for a regular mortal. He was thirty-five. Pretty old for a demigod. Dad was really proud.
Percy did a lot of great things in his life. He was a two-time war hero. He defeated the Titan Lord of time, our grandfather, Kronos. Then he went missing for eight months, was kidnapped by our aunt, Hera, and sent to Camp Jupiter under the guise of a Roman so the two camps could make peace. He was successful, as you can tell. After that, he defeated the primordial of the earth, our great-grandmother, Gaea. He also survived literal hell, Tartarus. But, perhaps most importantly of all, he married Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena.
Dad and Athena don't get along very well, and everyone assumed the same of their kids. But Percy and Annabeth? Best friends turned lovers. They were everyone's favorite demigods. Chiron loved them. Mr. D. loved them too. (He's really Dionysus, who got punished by Zeus for some reason and was forced to come here. He never ended up leaving, even after the punishment ended. Sometimes he gets himself punished again to come back here when Zeus tries to call him to Olympus.) They managed to save the world, survive hell together and fix the very broken friendship between Dad and Athena.
They had lived full lives as demigods. They went to college in New Rome, built a life, and had four kids. They died protecting my nieces and nephews.Their four kids passed away a while ago too. I only got to meet one, their youngest kid. Apparently, they had strong scents for legacies. Strong enough to be close to a demigod of a minor deity. They died at similar ages to Annabeth and Percy.
Their oldest, Silena Bianca Jackson, died the youngest. She was almost thirty. She never had kids, and never went to college. She just lived her life as best as she could.
Their next kid, Lucas Charles, or Luke, died when he was around thirty-seven. He helped out at camp from what I was told. He liked the camps and worked to make sure his parents' life work wasn't for nothing. He made sure the minor gods were respected.
