Intriguing? Joshua's mind was not following along with the blue coated man whose smirk continued to rise as the time carried on. With the way the situation was previously happening, the battle was difficult for the brothers to deal with due to their lack of energy. But what would happen now?

Looking at the now shattered spectral sword which no longer radiated the blue aura but left the weapon with only a hilt suggested that Vergil had done what he knew was perhaps possible for the teen, he absorbed the energy back from the sword. It did come to mind that he could do such a thing, although the boy didn't expect the teen to actually do so and take it from his possession due to his pride of his own strength. At the same time, the sword was practically constructed by his power and therefore his to begin with.

Nevertheless, the action only left the boy to have a means to attack close which wasn't anything truly worrying as keeping a distance was the only best measure in actually surviving if it came to him joking the battle. Joshua only wished that wasn't going to happen even though he so wished to kill the demon with his own hands, the intelligent part of his brain was telling him to be logical and do what was best in the current scenario.

Having either Vergil or Dante recovering was the only smartest choice in actually finishing the demon off for good. There was no time to be acting like Vergil himself and brood about his own pride and die for nothing because of it. 'I can't die just yet.'

Even when saying such things with in his mind, he was practically open with no longer a hiding spot to got due to Vergil's action of crashing onto one of the only remaining tall pillar which hasn't crumbled fully. Bringing his rifle out from his back, he applied his [Barrier Bullets] inside the slotted holes and jumped away to capture some distance.

Vergil having seen the boy back away from his peripheral view hummed in acknowledgment to the boy's smart choice of not tagging along up close, the mere suggestion would only hinder brothers. He was out of his league in this fight but the older teen still gave him credit with his appearance and allowed him to receive an instant recovery to his full might.

"You will only provide assistance from afar, do not attempt to arrive closer unless you want to die. Understood?" Vergil instructed while having made sure the boy found the perfect clearing of distance between the three figures. He received no response to his demands but made no measure to find any disproval towards this and only figures the child to have heard well enough with the slight enhancement he made with the demon's power. "How profound that a human child has already reached the nearing stage to what the demon before me is applying." He muttered as he saw the similarities in the way the child had used the sparks of electricity around his body the same way the demon was currently doing.

No, it was more correct to say the boy was ironically more attuned to the power than the demon, his human blood making it stronger and reckless to be used all at once, it was the reason the boy took the measure of applying restrictions and only using the bare amount to increase his reactions. While the speed the boy had performed to move out of the way was fast, it was however not fully due to speed of his movement which the child believed it to only be, but also the timing of his reaction being heightened. His thought process as previously was too slow in allowing the boy to actually handle his own speed which was a demerit in any kind of scenario unless you're simply using it to run really fast on a straight line.

An example would be a person driving a vehicle, on a dual carriageway where there is an appropriate speed which needs to be matched in order to make sure another person doesn't need to reduce their speed. The chances of a car breaking down is moderate but still few. Nonetheless, the amount of vehicles driving at a common accelerated speed would hinder a person in being able to react quickly enough to stopping if a car was to immediately come to a halt in front of them at such pace. The only conclusion was for the person to have crashed onto the car that had halted as he could not slow down quick enough to do so. The boy's thought process was similar in such scenario, he was rushing forward without thinking which caused the unexpected back attacks to occur when it should have been expected to begin with. Naturally trying to slow down and stop was the common action used when something dangerous or in terms of driving, expecting a hazard to happen.
