Jake's growing affection for Myra

After Brett went from there Jake came to the room where Myra was playing.
Jake: Myra did you like the toy??
Myra: yes uncle,this is super cute.
Jake: okay, I've some work so I'm going to finish that,if you need something then just come to downstairs.
It was 1 o'clock in the afternoon and Myra came into the study where Jake was working with his laptop and without looking at her Jake said,
Jake: Just wait 2/3 minutes I will prepare lunch for both of us.
Myra was surprised.
Myra: How did you know I was here??
Jake: I can feel your presence (proudly)
Without saying anything she just hugged him with her tiny hands n said
Myra: I'm so lucky I met you(sobbing)
Jake said while placing her on his lap
Jake: n why so??
Myra: Because no one will give as much love to an unknown child as you are giving me. How can you trust someone so much??
Jake (thinking) : I don't know myself but Brett was right, I am happy with you after a long time.
Jake: Well miss drama queen you don't feel hungry??
Myra: yes,yes (nodding while caressing her tummy lovingly)
With this, Myra once again made Jake chuckle with her cuteness.
Jake: okay,then let's go.
And now Jake was making lunch for both of them while Myra was sitting on the kitchen counter shaking her legs.
Myra: Don't cook too spicy food, I can't eat it.
Jake: So tell me what you like, I'll make that for you.
Myra: So I want to eat a boiled egg with creamy pasta.
Jake: anything else??
Myra: yes banana pudding churros. love that.
Jake: (thinking) she also likes banana pudding with churros??
Jake: okay,I'll make that for you.
After a while Jake went to put the plates on the dining table.Then he lifted Myra in his arms and made her sit on the dining table.
Jake: So, Your Highness, I'm now going to present your order. Here's the creamy pasta with boiled eggs.
Myra giggled at Jake's words.
Jake said while feeding Myra,
Jake: So we both will go shopping this evening.
Myra got scared after hearing about going out & suddenly said,
Myra: no Uncle, I don't want to go anywhere.
Jake: But Myra, we haven't found your mumma yet, and you have to stay here until we find her & you don't even have your clothes, that's why I wanted to take you shopping.
Myra: but,I don't want to go anywhere. Plz .
Jake: Okay, I'll tell Brett to buy new clothes for you. Now happy you DRAMA QUEEN??
Myra:I'm no.... ( cutt off by Jake)
Jake: yeah, I know you're cute .
Myra: by the way uncle J, you cook very well.
Jake: oh really??
Then he started tickling Myra.
Myra: wait, don't do that, I will fall.
After some time Brett reached there with many bags.He heard someone's giggling sound from the kitchen so he went towards that direction.
Brett: ummmm.. this smell. J,have you made banana pudding?
Jake: Yes,would you like to taste??
Brett: Of course, how could I miss such an opportunity?
Jake went to kitchen to bring dessert for 3 of them.
Brett: Myra, how are you??
Myra: I'm fine.
Brett: no need to scare,I'm your uncle too. You can call me uncle as you're calling J. I'm.... (cutt off by Jake)
Jake: yeah Myra,he's my younger brother. No need to worry.
Jake: now have it. (To Brett)
Brett: you already know that J, I'm fan of your pudding. you just stopped making it.
Jake: Myra now you tell me. Did you like it??(changed the topic)
Myra: But you didn't even feed me,you have been talking to uncle since then.
Jake immediately fed Myra a bite.
Myra: ummmmm...it's so tasty (munching her food)
Brett: So Myra, here are your new clothes.
Myra was surprised to see so many bags and said,
Myra: What will I do with so many clothes??. I'm not gonna stay here forever.
Jake became sad after hearing this.
Brett: so ,Myra now go n check your outfits.
Myra: okay,uncle I'm coming.
After Mira left, Brett said
Brett: She is right J. She has to go to her mother in 2/3 days. She hasn't been here forever.
Jake: I know that but still. Okay leave that you tell me is there any new updates about her mom??
Brett: not yet, but I think I should check that mansion once, you also talk to Myra about this.
Jake:okay,I'll talk to her. You take care of yourself and go there carefully. Also call me if you need something.
Brett: sure J. I have to go,bye.
Jake then went to Myra's room and saw that Myra was looking at herself in the mirror. She was wearing a cute dress that Brett has brought. She looked like a little angel.Suddenly Jake remembered what Myra said to Brett at lunch. Then He went to Her.
Jake: This dress looks great on you.
Myra: really??
Jake sat on the bed n said ,
Jake: yes, come to me.
He made Myra sit in his lap.
Jake: let me tie your hair.
Myra started crying after Jake said this but she put her hand on her mouth so that Jake would not know.
But Jake knew that she was crying.That's why after tying her hair, He hugged her from behind n said,
Myra: Uncle, can I sleep with you at night?? I'm afraid to sleep alone.
Jake: So you should have told me that you don't want to sleep alone.
(Thinking) I myself should have understood that she is still very small and should not have let her sleep alone.
Jake: okay,you'll sleep with me from now on.
Jake: now can you tell me you liked your new outfits or...
Then he heard cute snoring of Myra, he chuckled n he took her in his arm and went to his room.
It was already evening, Myra woke up and opened her eyes and saw that Jake had fallen asleep holding her in his lap.
She looked at the window and said,
Myra: I'm missing you, you should have been here with us right now .We both will come to you very soon, wait for us.
Hearing Myra's voice, Jake woke up and asked,
Jake: Who were you talking to??
Myra: nothing, I was just looking at you, you looked so funny while sleeping.(trying to hide her tears)
Jake: really??
Myra: yes
Jake started tickling her.
Myra: no,no uncle stop.
They didn't know that someone was watching them secretly from the window.
??: God! Please keep these two safe from everyone.
