Is Myra safe now?

Next morning:
Jake: Let's go to your school.
Then Brett stopped him and said,
Brett: You don't need to go J. I'll go with her. You just focus on your new mission.
Jake: Okay, you go with her and talk to her teacher and then drop her to the classroom.
Brett: Yaah sure,let's go Myra.
After they left Jake got a call, he received and said,
Jake: Really?? I'm waiting for you. (On call)
It's been 3/4 days since Myra went to school & Jake was busy solving his mission(about Myra's mom)
One such random evening, Myra, Jake and Brett were playing in the living room when the doorbell rang.
Jake: I think they have come.
Then he went to open the door. Just then a lady comes in, whose age would be around 50 and there was a boy standing with her who would be around 30.
Jake: Mom, I missed you so much.
Hugged her who Hugged him back.
Mrs.Toner: Me too my J.
??: You both just forgot me bro.
Jake: Hey Josh!! I missed you too.
Josh: Oh really? Me too bro.
Jake: Now come.
Both entered in home, Brett was angry at the sight as much as he was scared. He tightened his fist to calm his anger. While Mrs.Toner also changed her expression after seeing him.
Josh: Hey Brett. How're you??
Brett: Yeah,I'm fine. Hello aunty.
Mrs.Toner just ignored him but looked towards Myra with confusion then said,
Mrs.Toner: Who's she??
Jake: Mom, She's Myra. Myra say hello to grannie.
Myra did not say anything, just held Jake's hand tightly.
Mrs.Toner: Grannie??
Jake: Ahh.. Mom. We'll talk later about this. You both should freshen up first, you must be tired from travelling. Both of them went to their respective rooms and while leaving, Josh was looking at Myra again and again. Then Jake saw Myra, her eyes were full of tears and she was sobbing.
Jake: Hey,what happened to my doll??why are you crying?
Took her to his lap,
Myra: Why did you call her my Grannie??She's not my Grannie. And grannies are not good, they hate children.
Jake: No baby, who told you this??My Mom is not like that, she is very nice, she doesn't know you yet, once you become friendly with her, she will love you very much.
Myra: okay.
Brett: (thinking)
(Now I have to be even more careful. First I have to talk to Mike. Eli, we need your help even more now.)
During dinner, Mrs. Toner glanced at Myra from time to time when she noticed how lovingly Jake was feeding her. Myra was looking so much nervous but she tried to avoid that.

Jake: I'll Josh. First let me feed her.
Then he fed Meera, took her in his arms and went into the room. When he put Myra to sleep, he came into the living room and found Mrs.Toner, Josh & Brett already sitting there.
Josh: Yes bro,now tell us who is that girl?
Then he told them everything about Myra except her Mom's murder case.
Josh: But bro, how did you adopt her without knowing anything ??
Mrs.Toner: No problem Josh, I found that girl very cute anyway, and Jake is also very happy so I don't have any problem.
Jake: Thank you Mom. I knew it that you'll always support me.
Mrs.Toner: So now everyone go to sleep, I will talk to my grand daughter tomorrow morning.
Jake: Have you accepted her as your granddaughter?
Mrs.Toner: Of course J. If my son is happy with her then I don't have any problems.
Jake: I love you Mom.
But there was someone who was not happy at all after seeing all this. He's non other than Brett.
At midnight,
Like everyday, Jake had fallen asleep with Myra in his lap but ,Josh was standing near the door and watching them.
Josh: Where did this girl come from suddenly and why does this Jake have so much affection for her? He has not even talked to us properly in so many years. I need to know. And Mom also did not say anything. Now I have to do something. I thought that when I come here, the first thing I will do is to find Eli. No worries Josh you'll find her soon. Let's start your works tomorrow. Now you should take some rest.
Days passed like that. Meanwhile, Mrs.Toner also tried to be friendly with Myra but she always became silent after seeing her. Jake felt that perhaps Myra did not have a good experience with her family, that is why she was not able to be friendly with them properly. But Brett was always trying to keep them apart from Myra.
One day Brett was walking through the corridor when he heard someone's talk so he went in that direction and started looking. He saw that Josh was talking with someone on call,
Josh: I thought you weren't interested in this game yet. But,you're a pro player Boss. Your way of playing is completely different from others. Don't worry I'll find that Eli soon. And as far as this girl (Myra) is concerned, I will soon find out everything about her. Just once we find Eli, we'll throw that Jake out of this mansion.
Brett: (thinking)

Jake came to living room with all dressed up like a detective.
Seeing him, both Mrs.Toner and Josh were shocked. Then Mrs.Toner asked Jake,
Mrs.Toner: when did you start your old job??
Jake: Ab.. Mom. Actually I was about to tell you. I have just rejoined my job a few days ago. I decided to join again so that I could solve the murder case of Myra's mother.
