right as I walk out of the guest room , the bathroom door opens and isleen steps out. her body was covered in nothing but a towel. " sorry , I didn't mean to wake you up.." she says awkwardly before walking to her run.
I stop her mid way and grab her forearm and the memories of last night flood my brain. what did that mean for us ?
" issy, we can't avoid what happened last night." i look straight ahead because I know if I make eye contact with her again , I wouldn't be able to control myself. i hear her sigh softly as her head drops. " can we please talk about it?"
" I just want to pretend it never happened."
her voice echoed through my brain. she wants to forget it? I let go of her arm slowly and give her the space to walk away. she leave me in the hall in my own silence with her echoing voice. pretending something never happened is easier said than done. if forgetting is some she wants to be done , then I'll try my best to do so. I thought she could've at-least gave me an explanation on why she did it.

i sit at the park patiently waiting for Jk to appear so I can give her updates on the princess. i hear the leaves behind me break under someone's foot and my only guess was Jk. " Why do you look like a five year old who got their candy stolen?" he questions while sitting down in front of me on the wooden bench.
" wait I really don't care , you know what I'm here for." he continued. To keep the content of our conversations private from any lurking ravens , he places a shield protection around us where only we can hear what's going outside but no one can hear us.
I scoff at his rudeness but it's not anything I'm used to honestly. " when do they planning on moving forward with the re-birthing?" I question him because from our previous conversation, i was told that the date would be coming soon. " next week actually , the queen has asked us to move it up."
" next week?! that's really early !" I nearly shout because of the unexpected news. " Tae , it's queens order not mine." He elaborated.
" I understand that but there is so much prepping that needs to be done in such short time." I explained my reaction. the queen is known for making unexpected changes from what we originally discussed or went over.
" you both have to be at the cabin before Thursday, and you have to be back home before Wednesday. If you guys leave tonight , you'll make it there before Tuesday." Jk tells me the clear instructions on what needs to be done. i let out a deep breath and rub my temple out of frustration.
" Do you think she is ready for this?" I ask out of curiosity. " I dont know Tae , you know her better than anyone." He states basically reading my mind. I know isleen more than she knows herself.
