" I know you're here Dax.." I turn away from the house to stare into the trees. " you can come out of your shadow."

The dark purple fog emitted into the sky and spit him out. He landed onto his feet and stood up slowly watching me with dauntless eyes. He stood tall , cracking the bones in his neck. From the last time i've seen him , he has gotten buffer and more ignorant. The moon light beams off of his eyebrow piercing , which reflects into his eyes. He stretches out his entire body before standing normally.

" My old friend , long time no see huh?" He smirks while reaching his hand out. good do I wish to kill him.

"  What are you doing here Dax?" I question as the sound of the leave crunching beneath his feet fill my ears. Dax stops within a feet before me before tilting his head. Then he quickly lifts his head up looking at the house behind me. " Well I came to.." he looks up and gestures his hand to the window. Isleen appears in the window sitting at her office desk. " Bring her to Xavier." he looks back at me before letting out a small chuckle.

" If you so much as touch a hair on her head , I won't hesitate to leave your remains here." I turn to him swiftly , grabbing the collar of his blouse. He smirks at me with a smug look , as if I am joking. If there is one thing I'm very good at , it is being serious. " Don't forget about the last time I kicked your ass."

" How could I forget?? I always remember my weakest opponents.." He snickers with widened eyes. I fight the urge to burn him alive , I have enough light source to do it. His eyes flash with purple light and my body freezes. Its like whatever soul I had left has been sucked out of me. I let him go and grab my chest as if that was going to help bring my breath back. That fucking idiot used deoxygenation on me.

I cut off my breath because trying to breathe would only make things worse. I cut off the process of the deoxygenation by blocking my airways. Just for a moment I felt as if I was going to pass out but thankfully it worked. As I unblock my airways , I fall to my knees while taking deep breaths. Dax tries to use that as an opportunity to go Into the house but I catch him. While he turns into his shadow form , I reach my hand out and use whatever energy I had to knock him down. I get up , quickly , running to him and hitting him down before he gets up again.

Before I can do anything , he hits me off his back with his elbow. The blow hits my side , making me stumble slightly. As I regain my balance , he gets up charging towards me. A gold light sources emits from my palm hit him square in the chest , causing him to fall backwards. He groans in agony , as the hit settles on his chest and burns him. " go.home." I growled.

He winces in pain , holding his chest as he gets up, " Not without the princess.." he groans. I look up at the window and she is still there. I have to get her out of the house. I take a deep breath while staring into the window. I use a silent call to scare her out of the house. She isn't use to the sound so it will hurt her ears but I have no choice. I keep my mouth open enough for the sound to escape my lungs. Looking over to Dax , he transitioned into his shadow form teleporting into the house. I looked up into the window hoping that she got out fast enough. The room was empty but when I looked down through the living room window , she was still in the house. My only option is to teleport into the house without being noticed.

I use the street lights around me and absorb the energy from them. I let me skin soak up the light. Its been so long since i've used my powers. Once i've done that I let the light consume me and teleport me into the house. I aim for a soft landing into the upstairs office, where I know Dax would be. I don't really have any game plan going through this whole thing , in just doing what my body tells me. All I want to do is make sure she gets out of that house safely.
