Sienna POV
I woke up to a melancholic atmosphere. I don't know what happened, but something seemed very off today.
I went into the bathroom to shower for a bit, and then put on my clothes. I had to get ready for school, after all.
The sky seemed darker than usual outside, though there was no cloud in the sky.
I dried my hair off and wished my mom a goodbye. I normally walked to school, even when she was around. She just came back from her work trip last night.
I walked out of my front door and got greeted by a brisk breeze of wind. It was fair outside. I also decided that today I won't take the bus.
Normally I took the bus, but I left a little bit earlier than normal, and the weather was nice, so I figured why not.
I was starting to relate to Green, however. I couldn't shake this feeling of sadness, or rather, worry.
I couldn't put my finger on it, but something didn't seem right.
I made it to school and greeted my friends. I couldn't find Green anywhere, so I shot him a text.
Sienna: hey where r u
Green: home
Sienna: why
I stared at my phone for a minute and didn't receive a response. I shut my phone off and decided to just walk to Algebra. Based on that response, I didn't think he would come into school.
And I was right.
After Algebra ended, I checked my phone to see that I finally got a notification back from Green.
Green: we need 2 talk later
Green: ona call .. ill c u then
My heart dropped looking at the two messages. Something was up, and anytime someone tells you "we need to talk", it's never a good thing.
Sienna: okay
Sienna: what's up? r u ok?
Green: i'll tell u everything later
I just stared at the message. The bell rang and I turned my phone off. My nervousness reached a new high, and it kept gradually rising as seconds passed by.
I walked into English and my teacher greeted me, and of course, he had to just say something.
"I'm surprised your duo isn't here today..is he home?" He asked me.
"Yeah, I don't know why, but I do know he's home." I said to him as I faintly smiled. I walked away from him and took a seat where me and Green sat by normally.
Apart from that, English and World Language passed by quickly. My anxiety for this "talk" also rose gradually. For the first time in a long while, I walked by myself to Lunch.
I opened the double door that led into the cafeteria and greeted my friends. In particular, I walked up to Lenia, who was talking to Erik.
"Lenia, I need to talk to you.." I told her.
We both separated ourselves from the group.
"What's up?" She asked me.
"Green said he needed to talk to me, and not in person. He wanted to do it on a call, he's also not here in school." I told her.
Lenia's eyes widened as if she just realized something. Almost like she completed a puzzle by obviously putting all the pieces together.
"This might be bigger than I thought it was if I'm right.." She said to me, "Khalid and the other boys, Jake and Steven, have been acting so fucking weird to me lately."
