Black and white, interlaced in a simple pattern, draughtboard of a subtle and fearsome dance where every motion, every twist of the lips, flick of the fingers, twitch of the eyes, can lead your partner and opponent to read you.

« Bishop in E5. »

The wrinkled hand of the Baron, slow and steady, left his piece with confidence, threatening both a pawn and an unprotected tower.

« A move very much like you, Baron. »

Nonetheless, the Princess kept smiling, pondering upon her next move for a few second before carressing the head of her queen.

« Will the Princess choose to ignore her losses ? »

For a second, she stopped. Not because she doubted her own move, but because she was surprised to hear the Baron so confident himself. The old fox was still cunning for his age.

« Why would I care for the risks, when victory opens itself ? »

Undaunted, The Princess ignored the looming menace and pushed her queen toward a free space deep into the black territory.

« Check, dear Baron. »

The Baron stood still, watching the board, looking for an answer he already knew. Faced by the Princess' smile he could only sigh as he made his move.

« Rackish audacity will not lead you far Princess. »

His fingers, suddenly swift and agile, flew toward an unseen knight waiting for his time to shine.

« You lost your queen, your Majesty. »
