"Yeah," he rubbed the back of his neck. "Oh-" he gasped as Kylie gave him a hug.
"She told me about you," she said as she pulled away and left a hand on his arm.
He nodded. "I... regret not staying in contact with her."
"Aw. Yeah." She brought her arm down to nervously grab her other arm. She wasn't really sure what to say. "Well she is in a better place."
He nodded solemnly. "So you inherited her powers." It was more of a statement than question.
"Her powers?"
"Yes. Healing."
"Um, I don't really know, uh-" Kylie's gaze fell to the floor. That topic was uncomfortable for some reason.
"I know what happened," he cocked his head slightly. "You do, Kylie." Look at me. She didn't hear it but the message was communicated as if through emotion. She looked up; his grey, almost purple eyes were filled with certainty and gentleness at the same time.
Why me? she thought.
"You're her daughter," he answered out loud.
She sighed. But she... was so much better than me.
"Who says you can't be." Now he placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Hey, listen up, everyone!" Nya shouted, and people started gathering around. "We've had time to rest, yes?"
Affirmation (more or less) resounded from the group.
"Ninja, stay here, we're going to form a plan," Lloyd commanded. "Everyone else, go around Ninjago and look out for Chen and make sure the people are safe. Make sure to stick together."
Some people began to leave and some wandered around for a few moments before exiting the cave and presumably flying off on their dragons. Kylie stood beside Cole as the team gathered around the computers.

"No sign of Chen?" Kai asked.
"No, but that just means he's planning something," Nya replied.
"There isn't much time," Lloyd said. "Our friends are on standby but we don't know where Chen will strike first."
"And if we're not all there to stop him when he first attacks..." Cole's voice trailed off.
"Ninjago will succumb to war," Garmadon finished. "Our greatest fear will come true."
"Then the greatest victory will be that which has no battle," Wu said.
"But how do we prevent a war?" Jay said, brows knitted in vexation. "How do we stop an enemy we know so little about?"
