"NATSU!!!" Lucy screamed, running towards her best friend.
They were on their way back from a job, and Lucy agreed to walk for Natsu's sake. She always felt bad when he was suffering from that horrible motion sickness of his. But it seems they made a bad decision, they were ambushed. By a very strong dark guild might I add. Maybe if they would have brought Gray and Erza alone they would have had a better chance, but they didn't. These wizards were too strong.
"Oh my Mavis!" Lucy gasped, hands flying to cover her mouth. Natsu had taken a strong hit from one of the dark mages. A deep gash was visible on his side, blood soaked his shirt. The crimson color sickened her, she never liked seeing him bleed.
"I'm okay Luce." He offered a small smile, but his voice was shaky, clearly in pain. He gritted his teeth together, making a small grunting noise. He didn't care about the pain, as long as Lucy was safe.
"No your not!" She reached for him, but he was sent flying back by a harsh kick from the only enemy left.
"Foolish Fairy." He sneered, turning to face the girl.
"OPEN! Gate of the Golden Bull....TAURUS!!" She screamed, holding the corresponding gold key. With a puff of golden smoke, the bull-like creature appeared.
"Ready for action, Luuuucy!" He mooed, already ramming into the wizard they were up against.
With a flick of his wrist, the man sent the spirit flying and he disappeared back into the spirit world.
With a shocked expression, Lucy turned her head back to see Natsu. He was out cold.
Am I going to be able to beat this guy without him? She wondered, I have too! Her confidence was visible.
"Don't get too cocky, spirit mage, for I am Hideki Himura, master of Cracked Shadows, a dark guild." He chuckled evilly, "None of your puny little spirits will be able to defeat me!" His laughs grew louder, irritating the blonde.
"Oh yeah, we'll see about that! OPEN! Gate of the Lion....LOKE!!" She shouted, and he appeared.
"Oh! What is this??? The leader of the zodiac, Leo the Lion..." A creepy smile spread across his face, "Once I'm done with you, these keys could sell for quite a fortune...."
Lucy's expression hardened, she hated it when people spoke about her friends that way, "Loke, you ready?" She grabbed her Flueve d'étoiles.
Loke nodded firmly, recharging his regulus power, he sprinted towards Hideki, "Regulus Gatling Impact!" Similar to his regular 'Regulus Impact', he punched his enemy with the golden light of regulus. But instead of just once, he continued to punch him multiple times.
"Lucky shot, you got me this time, but I assure you it won't happen again." Hideki states, standing back up again. Brushing the dust off his cloak, he starts chanting a spell.
"Darkness Blast!" A ball of darkness gathered at his fingertips and shot straight at Lucy, but just in the knick of time, Virgo appeared and dug a hole under the two so they wouldn't get hit.
After the blast passed over them, she rose the dirt back up again, "I'm sorry if I was too late with my appearance, Princess. Punishment?" She questioned, her eyes seeming to shine in hopefulness.
"NO VIRGO!!! I WILL NOT PUNISH YOU!!" She screeched, "but thanks for coming on your own." She added.
"Anything for you, Princess." She replied as she went back to her world.
The enemy cursed, "You won't get away this time!!" He started gathering more power.
Loke faded away, warning Lucy that she doesn't have much power left.
She started to panic, then an idea struck her. But is it safe? The thought lingered in her mind as she looked back at her pink haired friend again, For him! I will do it for him! For Natsu!
She closed her eyes and chanted...
"Survey the Heavens, Open the Heavens...
All the stars, far and wide...
Show me thy appearance...
With such shine.
Oh Tetrabiblos...
I am the ruler of the stars...
Aspect become complete...
Open thy malevolent gate.
Oh 88 Stars of the heaven...
Shine!"Her eyes snapped open, time seemed to stop as they appeared to be in an endless space. Planets and stars surrounded them.
"Urano Metria!"
The celestial bodies shot towards Hideki, and Lucy felt her magic power draining.
I'm not going to make it, am I? She thought sadly, staring at Natsu's Knocked out form...I'm sorry, Natsu...
Just then, he started to move. His eyes snapped open and he was met with the sight of Lucy falling to the ground.
"L-Luce?" He seemed in shock, unable to move. She hit the ground with a thud. Realization hit him like a brick, "LUCY!!!!!" He ran to her, laying her head on his lap.
"Hey, Natsu." She choked out, feeling weak. She was out of power, she knew she was a goner. She was pretty much already dead.
Tears pricked at Natsu's eyes, "L-Lucy, what ha-" Lucy cut him off.
"It doesn't matter," she paused, "Goodbye Natsu."
He let his tears fall, "NO! I won't let you leave! I need you..." He trailed off, "I l-love you." She sobbed, hugging her tightly to his chest, he could hear her slowing heart beat.
Lucy was shocked for a moment, but soon smiled softly at him, "I love you too, Natsu."
He started crying harder, "D-don't go!"
"Natsu," she spoke sadly, voice soft, "I'm not going anywhere, I'll always be right here." She placed a hand over his heart, smiling up at him.
Natsu shook his head, "No, that's not enough! I want you here, right next to me. I want to see you sitting at the bar in Fairy Tail, watching me and Gray fight. Talking to Levy about books. Drinking your favorite strawberry milkshake."
She laughed slightly, "I wish I could, but I have to go." She paused, "Don't be sad, be happy. I wouldn't want you to be sad."
He stayed silent, he knew it would be impossible to be happy without her there.
"Promise me that you'll always be happy?" She pleaded. Even if she wouldn't be there, she wants Natsu to always smile that cheeky grin of his, be his usual childish self.
"I p-promise." He voice cracked, he didn't know if he could live up to that promise. But he would try, he would try for Lucy.
Without hesitation, he smashed his lips into hers. It wasn't what she imagined her first kiss would be like, dying in the arms of her crush, but she wouldn't have it any other way.
She fell limp in his arms, and he knew it. She was dead. Lucy was dead.

Oh my gosh!! I'm sooo sorry!! I didn't want this to be sad....but it just happened....
This is actually my first death-fic, so it's probably pretty bad...
Anyways, this sort of relates to the theme, Shine, it was the Urano Metria thing, ya know the part where it says Shine! Yeah, that part.
Anyways sorry again for making this angsty. I didn't mean to!!!
Hope you enjoyed, and please comment if you have any specific prompts you want me to do (I might even post a few extra one-shots if I get some good ideas)
