Extra: Stranded

"Hurry up Lucy!" Natsu yelled over the loud blowing wind, his blue furred cat trailing behind.

"I'm going as fast as I can!" She hollered back, annoyed. The icy weather never bothered him, he was a fire dragon slayer!

Looking back at her half-frozen state, his eyes softened. "I...I guess we can spend the night in a cave or somethin. I'll make a fire."

Was he stupid? Thought Lucy, how will it be any warmer in there than it is out here...but then again, who am I to refuse a much needed break.

"Okay."

"It's freezing in here..." The blonde haired celestial Mage muttered, kicking an ice chunk as she complained.

"What are you talking about Luce, it's not cold at all!" Natsu exclaimed, stretching out his arms. He didn't want to take a break, but he didn't like being pelted with snow...reminded him too much of a certain Ice Mage.

"Aye!" Happy cheered, agreeing with his hot-headed partner.

"Not to you guys." Lucy muttered, pouting dramatically.

Two hours later, Lucy was curled up in Natsu's blanket. Huddled close to the fire said pinkette started.

"Come on Lucy cheer up. You were the one who wanted to take a break." Natsu sighed, exasperated.

"Sorry, I didn't think it would be so cold..." Her voice came out as a whisper, too cold to manage anything more.

His eyes softened as he looked at her shivering form. Averting his eyes, he stepped closer.

"Your just lucky I'm a fire dragon slayer." He muttered, wrapping one arm around her thin frame with a light blush on his cheeks.

"Natsu..." She whispered, staring up at him, a deep blush spreading across her face.

"C-come on, you don't have to be so stubborn." He held her closer.

You're one to talk... She thought, still gazing at him, but...thank you...
