"Wait, soulmates are real?" Mario asked. He was still quite surprised that his soulmate was an ape. Not that he minded~
Before he knew it, he yawned, clearly exhausted from fighting the ape and losing.
He fought the urge to sleep in DK's arms. Although his attemt didn't last long.
He yawned and lay against his chest. His breathing became soft and quiet. His eyelids grew droopy and extremely heavy. It found it quite heavy to keep them open.
DK had noticed this and smiled at his adorable child-like behavior.
Once, Mario finally fell asleep. DK put him in his bed and let him sleep in his room. He left to make him something to eat for when he woke up from his well-deserved slumber.
