"Come here Silas. Silas!"

I shook my head as I watched the three year old run his way around Beck. Silas giggled and rushed up to me as a getaway. Beck groaned in annoyance and tossed the shirt to the floor.

She's been trying to dress Silas for thirty minutes now. She looked at me and shook her head. "I won't call him a little shit I swear." I shook my head and grinned. I scooped Silas up and tipped his chin.

It's been like this for three years. Silas was like another new blessing in my life. I never knew how it would be having a son. Never really thought about it either. But after he was born, I saw myself.

"Don't you think you're giving your mother a hard time?"

"We're just playing." He defends.

"Dinner is going to be cold by the time he decides to put that shirt on."

"Alright Silas, let's put your shirt on okay? If you do so I'll give you ice cream."

"Okay!" I set him down and he went over to Beck with his arms raised. She shot me a look and I winked. Beck picked up the shirt and finally dressed him. She combed his curls and he rushed back over to me.

"My shirt is on now. Ice cream."

"After you eat dinner okay? I don't need you getting a stomach ache."

"Okay." Silas went to the table and put himself in the chair. "I'm ready."

"How? Just how?" Beck was baffled. I closed the space between us, giving her a peck on the lips.

"You'll get used to it I promise."

"You seem to have it on easy mode. You don't get splashed with water or have a stupid Lego thrown at you. And I can't exactly square up with my son just yet."

I laughed, giving her another kiss. "Parenting is easy, Becky. Just let them hear what they want to and then boom." We got seated at the table and she sat beside Silas and I took the chair opposite her.

She's gotten more beautiful over the years. She gained more weight too. Her hair got longer and she never wear her piercings. If I had met her the way she is now I would've never guessed she was a lesbian at first.

She looks like a mom.

Beck wiped Silas' mouth and sighed. Who would've thought we would be here right now? Eating as a family? I am happy.

"I love you Becky."

She looked up at me and smiled. "I love you too old man." I groaned and she laughed. "Lighten up, you've still got years ahead of you."

There was a ring at the doorbell and we looked at each other before looking in the direction of the door. We aren't expecting anybody. The bell rang again and I set my fork down.

"I'll get it." I got up and shuffled over to the door, opening it up. When I saw who it was my heart skipped beats. Long brown hair, brown eyes the same. It's Neah.

"Neah."

"Hi, dad." Neah brushed a hair behind her ear and hesitated. Is this good timing? I mean it has been three years since I've last seen her.

"Long time no see huh?" She nervously asks.

"Yeah."

"I saw you at my graduation...thanks for showing up."

"I...yeah...of course."

"You're probably wondering what I'm doing back here after such a long time of not showing up." And I was. She looks more mature too. Gosh, she really is all grown up.
