Dear Diary,
I have no clue what to write in this small black book. It's been an entire week since I was taken in by the Gilbert family.
Miranda Gilbert, she had beautiful dark brown hair and soft brown eyes just like mine, her soul was purer than any woman or man I've ever known. She reminded me of my mother from my period. She was caring just like my mother and she was also a worrier.

"Mama!" A little girl ran up to her mother, young Elena following her.
"Hello my children-" Elena's mother froze to see Tatia, Elena's twin sister bleeding from the arm "Tatia! What happened!?"
Tatia pointed towards Elena who was glaring at her.

Grayson Gilbert, he was funny, he always seemed to make me laugh whenever I was thinking about my true family. He also looked a little bit like my father from what I can remember of him.

Nine year old Elena's eyes were leaking as she watched her father drop to the ground "PA!" She cried out her little legs running over to him as fast as they could. "SOMEONE HELP PLEASE!" She yelled.
"Pa" she let out a soft whisper. "It's okay my little Ellie" her father's bloody hand wiped the tears off of her face smearing blood on her cheek.
Elena started see no one was coming so she had to save him herself, she started to chant when her father stopped her, "Papa please let me-"
Young Elena stopped when her father pulled out a wood carved box. "It's a family heirloom" her father choked on his blood "It's yours now."
Young Elena grabbed the box, setting it down beside looking into her fathers brown eyes as life slowly left them.

Jeremy Gilbert wasn't anything by two years old. The family had celebrated his birthday a day after my arrival.
I haven't been out in town yet but I can't wait to do it, meet new people, but I have to admit this world is a bit weird. They have these things called cell phones. Apparently you can call people on them.
I really miss my family. Elijah, my husband was noble and kind and so sweet. Klaus my brother, he was only kind and caring towards me but would pick fights with his siblings mostly Elijah, Kol, well he was a jerk towards people besides me, Rebekah, she was nice to anyone but would kill you if you laid a hand on her family.
I hope I see them again.
