{ Day One }

I walked down the stairs looking mad , Somebody is in my kitchen playing this old ass music loud as hell . I sighed as I walked in prepared to go off but stopped and softened my face at my view.

My dad had Chresanie and Chassedie in his arms dancing around the kitchen and kissing on them. They giggled like little school girls and AnnaLynne sat there smiling at them while rubbing her stomach.

My dad was smiling hard too showing his nice straight pearly white teeth. I cracked a small smile and walked out the kitchen and back upstairs .. I walked Into the boys room and seen they both were up playing the X-Box.

" Morning Babies " I said closing the door slowly.

" Morning mama " They said and i closed the door.

I walked down the hall and opened Mi'Ohnies door and she was still sleep , I shook my head. All she does is sleep , like she actually does something.

I closed the door and walked next door to Melodies room and she was up staring at the wall. I walked in and sat next to her on the bed.

" What's wrong Minnie ? " I asked rubbing my hands through her hair.

" Are you and daddy back together " She asked looking at the wall. I sucked in a breath and let it out slowly.

" No , why is something bothering you " I asked

" All of my friends have both of their parents in their life. They all live together in one house and do things together. I'm the only one who has a broken home. I don't understand why you and daddy aren't together mommy. Yall don't love each other anymore ? " She said . Inside was happy because my baby is so mature and speaking to me like an adult. On the outside my eyes were about to fill up with tears because I feel bad .

" Uhm , Minnie , Your dad and I are just going through a rough time right now. I will always love your dad Minnie and I'm sure he will always love me. But I'm not sure that we will be together again. Do you remember how mommy would cry a lot because of the mistakes daddy made ?. You and Mi'Ohnie said you don't want mommy to go through that anymore. Daddy was sick back then Minnie. I'm not sure he's all the way better now , but he's working on it. Who knows , maybe when he gets better you may have a happy home Minnie. But no matter what don't forget that Your father and I love you no matter what we have going on. " I said rubbing her back since she gave me a hug with her tears falling on my shirt.

I sighed as I tried to hold mines back. I just realized that this split isn't only affecting me , but our kids too.

" I heard you and Melodies conversation earlier " Chresanto said as I laid back in the bed. I turned on my side and looked at him. I sighed and held my head up with my hand. He did the same and we just looked at each other .

" How did you feel about it " I asked after a while of silence.

" I felt like shit , a bad parent , a failure " He said looking away from my eyes.
