In the example above it shows the wheel with all the chords contained within in it for all keys now this looks quite confusing until you know what to do the trick is knowing a simple shape to put on the wheel that you can move around to unlock the wheels potential I'll attach the shape now

Here is the shape, if you look at the top of the wheel in the yellow which is C the shape is there outlined in red. Now you can place the shape anywhere on the wheel and the note that is in the box labeled 1 will be the key and all the other numbers are all the other chords in that key you can see I also added the capital and lower case m's again they stand for major and minor obviously.
sharps # in a key formula A tedious formula for working out how many sharps are in a key is Start on C count 5 up to G then add 1 sharp, on that note G count 5 up to D and add 1 extra sharp, and so on and so on
Note I really urge learning more borrowed chord theory as this will sound very cliche and predictable but again is very essential knowing as it will be the building blocks one example of borrowed chord theory is in the box 4 on the shape I provided for the wheel you'll see it's a major chord if you change that chord from major to minor it sounds really beautiful you see this example in the song creep by Radiohead.
