Authors Note - Hello there! Just wanted to inform everyone of a change I've made, the years, well more specifically the 2021 date. The more I flesh out this story the more I begin to realise how limiting adding a year date can be. So I've removing it completely. Of course there will still be movie mentions, but hopefully it won't become an issue.

Thank you guys for the support and I hope you have enjoyed YOUR story so far...

Chapter 4 - Could this get any better?

About a day or so has passed, Y/n has been trying to contact Margot but with no success, he's heard her voice messages about ten times. His injury has given him two weeks off from work. With an appointment happening in the middle of his break, which hopefully means that he can leave those crutches behind and limp on a Moon Boot instead.
Now in defeat, he aims to distract himself.

Alone, in an empty and quiet house, Y/n relaxes on the couch, his cast leaning on a red Ottoman. While searching for films, he coincidentally and perhaps regrettably comes across one of Margot's films, About Time. Where she plays the role of a character called Charlotte.

He starts watching it, about half an hour in and she appears.
The characters play tennis and a sudden slow-motion scene plays out, where the camera watches her beauty and gorgeousness while playing the game. She hits balls, serves, jumps in the air...
"Unfortunately Charlotte just made both of us look like idiots." The main character narrates, hypnotised. "How the hell are you meant to concentrate on your game with this sort of shit going down."

The final slow motion frame shows her celebrating, her arms up and a cheerful smile across her face...

Now even Y/n is hypnotised, he huffs as he thinks about last night until his phone rings beside him

Now even Y/n is hypnotised, he huffs as he thinks about last night until his phone rings beside him.
Just one quick glance descends him into chaos as his eyes widen and body shifts in anticipation.

He quickly picks up his phone and inhales. Before answering the call.

The line is silent for a few seconds, until finally...

"Hey." She greets.

"Hi." Y/n responds.

"Sorry I haven't been contactable, it's still been pretty hectic." She enlightens. "Interviews, Press, all of that.."

"That's fine." He shyly smiles to himself. "If you're too busy then I wouldn't want to disturb you."

"I called you, didn't I?" She assures. Y/n is taken aback at her confident reply.

"Fair enough." Y/n baffles. Scratching the back of his head. "I guess calling you ten times might have been overkill." Rhetorical, of course it's overkill. "I have made a complete fool out of myself."

"Yes," She giggles. "Well, I respect the effort at least."
People suddenly speak in the background, drawing her attention away.
"Look sorry - - i'm going to have to go-" She informs me, rather frantically.
