It took zhao liying three days to arrive to Gusu there she was greeted by two cloud recess  diciples who immediately allowed her to enter she made her to Hanshi were she quickly bowed in respect to Grandmaster Lan and xichen both were surprised to see her as well but decided to greet her back . She spoke about her adventures and how she met wangji upon his travels she also said that she would kindly like to  reconnect with wangji and in the process get to know more his husband which both Lans saw no problem with since liying has been the only friend wangji had while growing up so they allowed her to stay as long as she needs .

Later that night both wangji and wei wuxian had just returned to Gusu after they travels around the cultivation world xichen was happy to welcome back his baby brother and brother in law but was a little hesitant to inform him about liying return so without a further second he informed them about her arrival in which wangji seemed happy to have his best friend back on the other hand wei Ying wasn't to happy about it but he didn't want to upset his husband so he let it slide and excuse himself to  jingshi thinking about the possibility that this girl might cause him trouble but there is a high possibility that maybe Lan zhan wouldn't allow her to interfere in their marriage .

As the morning came wei wuxian was hoping to start his day having breakfast with his husband but that taught was replaced when he saw his husband and his friend already eating together which made wei Ying a little sad. During the upcoming days wei Ying felt more hurt by the fact that his husband was enjoying his friend company more than his husband wei Ying but what hurt even more is the little things that liying does and say that makes wei wuxian believes that his husband might leave him he was jealous and hurt especially when lan zhan started inviting his friend to night hunts and little travels that wei Ying only enjoys with his husband.  Wei wuxian wanted to talk to his husband about the way he  was feeling  but every time he tried to talk liying always makes herself the center of attention.  One night wei wuxian wanted to make his husband  interested in him so he decided to prepare a romantic night he tried to cook and got a lot of advice from his sister. That night wei wuxian was happy to have his husband love and affection of course they went four rounds doing their everyday  means everyday speciality but all good things have to come to a stop because the next day liying like always uses her childhood token to remind wangji how great she is leaving wei Ying feeling insecure about himself.
Even though Lan zhan respects his friend he knows that his husband doesn't like her and is only trying to tolerate her on his behalf so wangji decided to do something special for his wei Ying to show him that he loves him and would never dare to cause him hurt he will try his best to not let his friend stop him from putting his husband first same with wei Ying he will not let someone take his husbands heart away from him .

But liying will make sure wangji will leave wei wuxian just wait and see what exactly she has planned and how would our favorite wei Ying be left alone why the gusu clan turned their backs on him and who would be able to save him from being executed by the blade of his husband all will be revealed in new chapters to come
