A month pass since the couple got married some days felt like a fairy tale while other days felt like a nightmare because even though it has been a month Zhao Liying  makes sure to remind wei Ying that she belongs to wangji first and even though wangji doesn't know what problems his best friend causes he still tries to keep his husband happy with their daily activities and just simply trying to see him smile . One day the couple decided to take a bathe together in the cold springs that's when wei Ying realized that the flow of the water has changed he tried to alert his husband but was immediately pulled under the water wangji not hearing and feeling his husband presence immediately turned around but he to was caught of guard and was pulled under when they came to their senses both couple ended up in a cave there wangji came across the qupin and wei Ying found bunnies with forehead ribbon hopping around he tried to approach the bunnies but was stopped by the deadly strings of the qupin wangji who noticed fought back against the strings to protect his husband . Wangji came closer to the qupin and was easily welcomed because the qupin recognized wangji as a Lan member and wei Ying who notice shouted for his husband to give him his forehead ribbon so wangji immediately tied both their hands with the ribbon which gave wei Ying the access to not be killed with the killer cords of the instrument . When approaching the instrument wangji started to play and suddenly a warm presence appeared before the couple and without further notice wangji knew exactly who stood before them it was his ancestor Lan Yi a great cultivator and best friends to Boshan Sarren wei wuxian grandmother she spoke to the couple and bless ther union she also explained about her disappearance many centuries ago she informed the couple about the Yin Iron and how dangerous it could be to the cultivation world if given to the wrong people she instructed the couple to keep the Yin Iron safe and to never let it fall onto bad minded people she then disappeared again leaving the qupin in the hands of wangji and the bunnies for wei Ying to play with.  After they left the cave the couple immediately headed to Hanishi to inform Grandmaster Lan and Lan Xichen about their discovery and the harm it can cause but the family was unaware that someone was listening to their conversation and planning her revenge to destroy wei wuxian for good. Zhao Liying made sure to send a Butterfly to her lover Wen chao informing him about the Yin Iron but of course she couldn't let him destroy Cloud Recess so she had to come up with a plan to get wei wuxian alone with the Yin Iron then she would happily announce that the husband of second jade Lan wangji has betrayed his loyalty to the Gusu Clan but in order for her plan to succeed she needs to separate wangji from wei Ying how would she do that would she ever win and what would she do if she finds out wei wuxian is pregnant.
