Day 5
7:16 am

"Tell me what you meant earlier." I said. He sighed before taking a seat, crisscrossing his legs.

"This might take a while." He said.

"I have all day." I replied, beginning to get impatient.

"Well it's like I said, you're different. From the records I've read about this world, you shouldn't be able to activate a firearm that has recently been used."

"The shotgun is understandable as it hasn't been activated in years." He said. "So do you need to constantly use them in order to keep them from being activated by other people?" I asked.

"No. It all technically comes down to the design and type of firearm it is. In this case, that rifle would've been due for another activation in 5 years."

   Oh.

   "So then how-"

"I'm getting to that." He cut me off, holding up one of his hands. "It would seem there been some kind of 'flaw' in the system." He grimaced.

"What kind of 'flaw'." I quoted.

"The kind where the mana and energy used to power the portal, used to send you here and home, somehow transferred to your body." He shut his eyes, most likely waiting for the outburst.

And I won't lie, I was just a millisecond from shouting. Though opted against it when I remembered Dani and Rya were sleeping in the other rooms, so instead I took a long, deep breath and spoke calmly. "And what does that mean for me exactly." I asked.

"I'm not entirely sure. I don't even know how or why this happened in the first place. Though from what I can see, there's a very high chance of you being stuck like this." He said.

"Is that a bad or good thing." I said.

"I guess good on your part, on mine, not so much." He replied. "And why is that?" I asked. "This 'flaw' has put powerful mana and energy into your system. Enough so to kill you, to be frank I don't know how you made it through, it should've ripped you apart." He said.

"Well..that's not disturbing at all." I grumbled.

"But since it hasn't, there's no full say in what you'll be capable of. Though because it is technically a fault on my part, I'm obligated to give you something free of charge." He sulked.

"Do you have bosses or something?" I snorted.

"Yes." He replied in an all too serious tone. I pursed my lips and looked around the room.

"So anything I want huh." I said.

"I'm afraid so." He pouted.

   "Aw, cheer up." I laughed.

"Please just, tell me what you want." He rolled his eyes. I must say, he was getting a lot better at the whole 'sassy human' thing. I brought my hand to my chin, rubbing at the imaginary chin hairs.
