What is it with the name?

Angie's P.O.V

Well guess who I bumped into today huh? You wanna know!
Jade! Jade is who I bumped into!
"Watch were your going, I have very expensive make up on and-" she glares at me. "oh it's you. What do you want?"
"Nothing! I was just walking and I got pushed into you!"
"And by who exactly?" Grunts Jade.
"I dunno? She was wearing a green top with black jeans. Anyway, why am I talking to you?" I ask questioning myself. Jade doesn't even take notice of me.
"Esmerelda" she murmurs under her breath.
"What?"
"That lying old hag!" She suddenly storms of with her purse in her hand.
"That was weird" I say to myself, and carry on walking.

I open the door to be greeted by Violetta playing on the piano-she suddenly stops and gives me a hug.
"Oh Angie I've missed you! I have so much planned for the concert and all these ideas are just flowing to my head and-" I calm her down.
"Chill out Vilu. I know everything is exciting but don't start going crazy!" I laugh, and she laughs too.
"Oh I love you!" She smiles, giving me another huge hug.
"I love you too" I say, returning the hug.
We both sit on the sofa.
"So something weird went on before I came here and I was hoping you would know anything about it?"
"Talk" she smiles.
I tell her the whole story. And I mean, everything. How Jade wore expensive makeup- how I got pushed and that name that still lingers in my head.
"Esmerelda" Vilu murmurs under her breath.
"Ok I don't know what this thing is with her name but can you tell me what it is because I'm really starting to get annoyed.
She ignored me and calls German.
Then there he is, running down the stairs.
"What happened! Everything ok?! Someone hurt!" German puffs, alarmingly.
"No dad no." She chuckles.
"Esmerelda" it suddenly all goes silent.
"Can someone please explain!" I beg.
Violetta then tells the whole story to German and his face turns straight.
"What is it with this Esmerelda girl!" I exclaim.
"She was dads ex- girlfriend" Violetta points out.
"No! She tricked me! She ended up stealing half the money I had and almost got me locked up in prison!"
"Oh shoot I see your problem" I say pulling a face. "but still, what's wrong?"
He carries on.
"Esmerelda is dangerous. You don't know what can happen when she's around. After what she did my heart dreads the worst for when she's near."
"What did she do?" I ask.
"Something that I hope will never happen to you" He sighs, his eyes directly towards me.
