"Now that I'm here, I'm actually kind of scared."

I chuckled nervously as I looked up at the tall, shiny skyscraper in front of me. "Don't be, you look amazing. You're probably turning heads as we speak, mio tesoro."

I could feel my cheeks burn slightly, stammering. "Uh, no. If they are, it's probably cause of these fancy clothes you bought me. I can imagine I look so out of place," I whispered into the phone and Terenzio chuckled breathlessly. "I can assure you that you look as lovely as you always do."

I narrowed my eyes. "Oh yeah? How?" I deadpanned, clicking my shoes together to hear the fancy clink of these expensive ass shoes that he had delivered to my door the day after we went shopping.

"I'm looking at you right now."

I paused, scanning the hectic crowd of people dressed to go run a business, hustling across the street as I stood on the corner. "Oh."

A small smile graced my face as I looked into gray eyes. "Hi," I waved and he smiled brightly, waving back to me. "Come here," He did the come hither motion with his fingers, and like a moth to a flame, I followed.

"Good afternoon, mio tesoro. I do hope you're doing well today," He wrapped an arm around my waist, walking me inside the luxurious building. I went to answer his question, but the words died on my tongue when I saw how beautiful the inside of his building was.

"Signore, who is this handsome man?" I heard a voice call out and Terenzio chuckled. He must get hit on a lot when he goes in public.

"His name is Kieran Strong," My eyes widened as I turned to the person and waved sheepishly. "Do me a favor and create a badge for him. He'll be here more often than not," He instructed and I just let him because he was probably right.

He did occupy more and more of my time.

When I wasn't at home, at school, or with Tre, he made it his mission to be there when I was on shift. When I had free time, we spent it together doing something he or I chose.

"I told you, you look amazing," He confirmed and I was rendered speechless, so I looked down at my fingers. "Anyways, tell me about your business. It looks really beautiful in here," I gushed in awe. "It's so nice." I couldn't stop myself from looking around at the glass windows, the smell of mint and citrus decorating the air.

"It means a lot that you think that, tesoro," He led me down the hall to a fancy-looking elevator. "Even I think you're the best-looking thing here, I appreciate that. It took me some time to get it to where I wanted it to be."

He then went on to explain how he formed Mazzino in Sicily when he was 21, using money from his trust fund to create a business that essentially invested in other businesses, big and small. It eventually became successful that he funded big brands in our current time. They come to Mazzino for business lessons, formation of plans, etc, and he helps them to create their business and invest in it.

He also invested in properties such as apartment homes in certain countries and states, so it was no wonder that he looked as if he bathed in money.

He worked hard for it, I could tell by how much he was explaining. He loved what he did, and that made me feel a little more secure in his presence.

"Ah, here we are," He stopped in front of a door that read, "T.M, CEO" and for some reason, that felt so official.

He opened the door to the room and I audibly gasped, looking at the beautiful layout before me. It was so spacious, and had three separate rooms on the inside, with a large black velvet couch that greeted us as we walked in. His large black mahogany desk sat towards the back of the room with a view of Beverly Hills. Several bookshelves dotted the walls along with a smart fridge and a coffee bar to jazz it up.
