The screen had faded to black before coming on with the next scene.
It is nighttime. All of the students and staff, including any guests, residing in Hogwarts have gone to bed.
Except for one.
Through slightly open doors the Goblet of Fire is shown. There is a golden circle surrounding the goblet; preventing anyone not of age from entering the tournament.
Suddenly, someone's hand, which has a couple of rings on it, pushes the doors open.
As they step into the room this person turns around.
Closing the doors behind them it is revealed to be Igor Karkaroff.
Not many had vocal reactions to Igor sneaking into the Goblet of Fires's room. However, a large portion of students and staff felt very suspicious of his actions.
The scene changed once again.
Now, Alastor Moody was standing at the front of the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom.
Most older students in the hall, because they knew who Moody was, got excited at the prospect of learning from such a famous auror.
Adeline only narrowed her eyes at the man on screen. After watching her previous reaction to his arrival, she was untrusting.
Pacing, the former auror says, "Alastor Moody." Turning around to the chalkboard behind him he writes his last name as he speaks. "Ex-auror... ministry malcontent... and your new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher." He turns back around so he's facing the students. "I am here because Dumbledore asked me. End of story, goodbye, the end. Any questions?"
The camera angle changed to show the classroom of students.
Gryffindor's and Slytherin's.
Somehow there ended up being an odd number of each group. So, Adeline and Draco were sitting at a desk with one another adjacent to the desk Harry and Ron were sitting at.
Adeline raised an eyebrow at her on-screen predicament. She let out a sigh and mumbled, "You've gotta be fucking kidding me."
Harry had just barely heard his friend's reaction, but after he looked at her with a questioning expression Adeline just waved him off.
Unsurprisingly, Adeline looked to be just as laid back as she usually is during any of her classes. She leaned back in her chair, face set in a neutral expression, arms crossed over her chest, and her needed materials set in front of her but completely untouched.
However, if anyone were to look at her eyes they would see Adeline tracking and analyzing Moody like a hawk.
After a couple of seconds of silence, Moody continues. "When it comes to the Dark Arts I believe in a practical approach. But first, which of you can tell me how many Unforgivable Curses there are?"
This question causes Adeline to sit up in her seat.
Her slow, calculated, but sudden, movement makes Draco glance at her, but Adeline doesn't let her expression falter from anything but neutral. So the platinum blonde looks away.
Hermione is the one to answer Moody as she says, "Three, sir." Questioning her, Moody asks, "And they are so named?" He begins to write on the chalkboard as Hermione answers, "Because they are unforgivable. The use of any one of them will--" "Earn you a one-way ticket to Azkaban, correct."
Turning around Moody says, "Now, the Ministry says you're too young to see what these curses do."
This makes Adeline let out a barely audible scoff under her breath as she rolls her eyes.
