Chapter 5

Vihaan sighed seeing that and said, "Chachu (paternal uncle) I will explain everything to you, first let us come in."

Aahi looked at him shocked and asked, "Chachu!?"

Vihaan looked at her tired and said, "Let's go inside, you will know everything."

Aahi who had no choice had to follow him because in the end this guy saved her so she knew he was a nice person.

The uncle looked at him not letting them enter, but looking at Aahi he decided to let them in.

They went in and Vihaan sitting down on the sofa said, "Ramu (their servant), bring us cold water."

Aahi followed him and sat down on a one sitting sofa.

Chachu looked at Vihaan and said, "Now start explaining yourself, if my bhai (brother) or bhai (sister in law) comes to know about this, they will kill me."

Vihaan nodded and said, "I will, but first let us have some water."

Just then Ramu got water and offered it to the uncle and Vihaan. Uncle rejected the glass and said, "Give it to that girl."

Ramu turned to see Aahi and looking at her clothes and then Vihaan's clothes he happily asked, "Vihaan baba you got married! And didn't even invite me!?"

Vihaan who was drinking water coughed and uncle replied, "This guy didn't invite anyone."

Aahi giggled seeing all this, both the men looked at her annoyed, Aahi seeing their gaze looked down and whispered, "Sorry." And drank water

Uncle seeing them drink water so fast asked, "By the way, did you guys eat anything?"

Hearing the question Aahi who was hungry said, "On the way I did eat some chips, but that didn't fill me up, sir I'm really hungry."

Uncle looked at Aahi shareply but said, "Ramu serve food for three people."

Ramu replied, "Ji seth, yes will do so, but should I make something sweet too?" He asked because Aahi came in as the daughter in law of the house.

Uncle and Vihaan glared at him, Ramu taking the hint quickly went to the kitchen.

Uncle then looked at Vihaan waiting for answers.

Aahi, knowing that she is the person to blame, started, "Actually sir, everything that happened is my fault."

The uncle looked at her angrily, he wasn't angry at Aahi particularly but right now he was very disappointed at Vihaan who had taken such a huge step without anyone knowing.

Before my uncle could say anything, Vihaan in a calm voice said, "Chachu, I will explain everything to you, Aahi it's okay I will talk with him."

Aahi nodded understanding, after all this was his family.

Vihaan then explained what all had happened to them.

The uncle looked at both of them and sighed. Now his anger had turned into worry and asked, "Oh my, are you guys okay!? You guys aren't hurt anywhere right?"

Vihaan and Aahi at the same time answered

Vihaan, "No I'm okay."

Aahi, "No sir, I'm okay."

Uncle nodded satisfied and said, "Vihaan, from now on you will not go anywhere alone! See what happened!"

Aahi looked down in guilt, Vihaan glared at his uncle to not say such stuff, he knew that his uncle was just worried but right now saying that wasn't necessary.

Uncle, wanting to change the topic then asked, "So what will you two do now!?"

Aahi, not wanting to look like a gold digger, answered, "We will get a divorce as soon as possible."

Vihaan smiled hearing that and said, "Or we can just act like this was all an act and forget it!"

Uncle sighed in frustration and said, "This is the problem of your generation. You take all the things easily, marriage is not a joke! This marriage was done with all the rituals and with God's name and a real pandit. Don't take it so lightly!"

Aahi replied, "Sir, it's not like that. I believe and follow all our customs and traditions and I even respect them. But the situation was such that we had to take such a step. And if we want to get divorce we can only apply for it after a year and after that there is a six month waiting period."

Uncle looked at her in acknowledgement.

While Vihaan said, "Chachu, I didn't mean that, it's just to save ourselves from the hustle."

Aahi added, "Yes, and Vihaan shouldn't suffer because of my mistakes, if only he didn't miss the bus because of me, then all this wouldn't happen, and he even came back to save me and saved my life, so I can't trouble him more." Saying that she looked down in guilt.

Vihaan sighed and said, "So there's only one option left, after a year we apply for divorce and officially get a divorce after 1 and a half year. What do you think chachu? Aahi?"

Aahi nodded and answered, "I think this is the best solution for our situation."

Uncle sighed and said, "Yes, this is the best option, since we can't go to court and settle it down faster with money because people might find out."

Uncle then asked Aahi, "What about your family? Will you tell them?"

Aahi answered, "Never, even if they come to know my parents might understand but other elders won't let it go. So I can't tell anyone about this."

Both the male nodded in reply.

Aahi then asked, "What about your family Vihaan?"

Vihaan replied, "Well same as yours, if they know about the marriage they will not let us have divorce. And my dear Chachu will keep this secret always a secret right chachu!?"

Uncle nodded and said, "Of course! You don't even have to say that, if our family knows it, before you I will be the one they will kill. By the way, answer this for me, both of you. Even if you guys have to stay married and work this marriage, what's the problem?"

Aahi just looked at him shocked, not knowing what to say, while Vihaan glared at him and said, "Chachu, that's a very bad joke."

Aahi heard that and faking a laugh said, "Oh it was a joke, ha ha ha."

Ramu came and announced, "The food is served."

Uncle got up happy to get away from the awkward situation he made himself and said, "Let's go have dinner."

The duo nodded and getting up started walking towards the dining area. Aahi's dress got tangled on the table stand near the sofa while walking, causing her to fall and Vihaan who was near her caught her.
